Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. As per the Venice port authority she is due to leave tomorrow, at midday on Wednesday 24 May https://venezia.ilogis.it/riepiloghi/pages/riepilogoNavi/layout_riepilogoNavi.zul;jsessionid=FCB3E3FF00197775D05D6AA3DD1B74CB
  2. If you look at this link, for the port of Venice, it shows Queen Anne due to depart at midday on Wednesday 24 April. https://venezia.ilogis.it/riepiloghi/pages/riepilogoNavi/layout_riepilogoNavi.zul;jsessionid=FCB3E3FF00197775D05D6AA3DD1B74CB She will clearly need a number of days to get to Southampton, so I assume the will release some of the dock reservations and I assume instead of arriving Saturday I am guessing more like Tuesday? Must be a week at QA's max speed of 21 knots, and likely need to do a few other things on the way too?

    Queen Anne

According to the AIS trackers, Queen Anne is off on her first trials this morning

    Queen Anne

As of this morning it looks like QA is appearing on the marine tracking sites, so must be testing bridge equipment and preparing for trials.
  5. There is an interesting new topic coming up today where Cunard's UK Sales Director is quoted as saying Queen Anne will be targeting people new to cruising. Not discriminating against loyal passengers, but they need new customers to start cruising them them. I would guess she may, therefore, have a few more differences coming so she isn't just a copy of the (much loved) existing liners, but launches new features for new customers. I don't see this as a bad thing; you have to continually evolve and move with the times. The hard part is getting the right balance.
  6. The second page shows the dress code as 'Relaxed Attire' for all the venues. While the first two would be obvious choices for this, the last 3 would seem to be smarter venues. Are they planning on relaxing the dress code for these to try and get more people paying to try them? Or is this in line with the rest of the ship??? If one of these is similar to Verandah on the current ships, then it would be strange to differ.
  7. Looking at Southampton VTS, the people who manage all arrivals and departures: QV will be arriving 23-Apr-23 06:00 and departing 23-Apr-23 18:00 - pretty standard. QM2 will be arriving 22-Apr-23 21:00 and departing 24-Apr-23 09:00 - so an extended stay. Maybe works happening that require longer time?
