  1. I see a number of late 2018, early 2019 NZ cruises but where are the Australia cruises, specifically top, bottom and/or around? Too early in the release process? Disappointed if none especially since because of scheduling issues I had to cancel Radiance cruises which sailed top and bottom of OZ and NZ

We just booked Ovation New Zealand. We were originally booked on the Majestic Princess, but seeing how we love the Quantum class ships and we're chipping away at getting to Pinnacle, we decided to go with Ovation. The price is MUCH better on Ovation, too, more than $1000 less for a balcony cabin with virtually the same itinerary (only difference is Napier instead of Akaroa).

  2. I have Symphony of the Seas deck plans forwarded to me from rccllibrary.com.

They include the updated categorized cabins.

    Here are decks 14 & 15

EDIT: Kind of hard to see. :(

    Check them out at https://www.pinterest.com/lloydmarchand/symphony-of-the-seas-oasis-4-construction-at-stx-f/

    Hi Lloyd,

Any chance you can post decks 8-13 on Pinterest, too? The ones you posted on FB can't be seen if magnified, but the ones on Pinterest are very clear. Also, is there a color-coded category plan available? Thanks!!!

  3. I noticed that but they are not going to Ephesus (Turkey) and their prices tend to be higher. So we are stuck waiting for RCL to release their itineraries. A little over a month to go, patience, patience!

I will be surprised if any of the new itineraries include Turkey. With all the attacks over there and the political unrest, I really don't blame them. Don't get me wrong, it is truly very sad that such a beautiful country is suffering because of recent events. I lived in Turkey for 27 years, until last March. With both of my kids deciding they prefer to live in the States, and everything happening over there, I'm in no rush to go back in the near future.

  4. See below:

Yes, there is a height issue, and apparently the only way ships other than Vision or Radiance Class can fit under Bridge of Americas is to wait for low tide. It's not practical when a ship is trying to transit the canal during daylight hours at an optimal time for passengers to be out on deck and enjoying the view.

The other issue, as always, is the expense of transiting the canal. RCI and the other cruise lines pass along the expense to the passenger, but they still use it as a reason to not offer the itinerary.

Panama Canal cruises are my second-favorite itinerary, after Hawaii, so I wish RCI would bring them back, as well. We have done over a dozen Canal cruises, and each one has been exciting. :)

I gave up waiting for RCI to do PC, and just booked a B2B with the new NCL Bliss. We'll do the Mexican Riviera first. It will go through the new locks. :) I love new ships and big ships, so this seemed like a perfect fit. But RCI is still hands down my favorite cruise line! :)
