I received a second e-mail this morning regarding my upcoming Discovery cruise, they are still offering owner's suite and sky suite. I guess nobody took the bait a couple of days ago. $1845 pp for the Sky suite and $100 pp for the owner's.

Reminder, this thread is not about tipping, chair hogs, dress code, name calling or demographics. I posted it with the intent of relaying the response I got from Princess, for those interested, period. For those who expressed differing opinions and suggestions in a friendly manner, I thank you!

I would say I got a call back in about 4 days. I am sorry for what you are experiencing. I use a CVP for those exact reasons, he gets back to me within 24 hours, usually sooner.

Yes! A 7 day Mexico cruise. As I am traveling by myself, I absolutely do not need or want a Sky Suite.

I also received an upgrade email this evening on my October Discovery cruise. I am presently booked in an aft penthouse on dolphin deck. The upgrade was for the Sky suite at $1,845 pp or to an owners suite, min bid of $100. Not interested in either. I’m very happy with my large dolphin deck balcony .

Yes, and I have been loyal to Princess. 32 cruises, one booked this October on the Discovery and others. I don't understand the mindset of some that say if you don't like it, leave.

My takeaway is that DMW is here to stay, in spite of the system bugs and the dissatisfaction from other travelers as well. I am reading from my post that others are happy with it; we each have our own opinions and the ability to share them with Princess. But who knows, remember the uproar about the lack of a central staircase when the Royal came out? And no Crooners on the Sky? Enough people contacted Princess and were able to get changes made on new builds.

I voiced my dissatisfaction with the direction Princess is going under the new management, such as the removal of traditional and anytime dining, the cheap gimmicks they are implementing and the overall demise of the Princess brand. My biggest concern is that Princess was a brand, that had a loyal market, and why do they feel the need to be every other mainstream cruise line. My e-mail was polite and courteous. Yesterday I received a voice message stating that they received my e-mail, they "hear" me, they know that DMW isn't up to speed, that I am not the only one who has voiced the same concerns, and again that they "hear" me. But, this is the direction that Princess is going, and they are committed to it. They gave me $75 OBC for an upcoming cruise, which was not my intent in sending the e-mail. I just want my Princess back.

You're lucky you're not my kid. My kids are early thirties and I still call them and sing the song! They just tolerate it!

When I first started cruising 30 or so years ago, they had theme nights. Would love to see the return of French night. That was the first time I had frog legs and escargot.

That's okay, as long as I can get them to tone it down somewhat. I have a chronic ear disease that is affected by salt. Not to mention the swelling of my ankles the first day on board!

They now give you a dining credit and you can use it for any night you'd like.

If there is an essential that I must have, whether on a cruise, or back when I was working, I bring it myself. And yes, I do get your sense of humor!
