It looks like to get the cruise perks you need to book through the Am Ex travel agency. I'm fine with that as long as the price is not more than others...
The limit depends on your credit history. The platinum fee is ok for me since I will use the $200 airline fees, $200 Uber fees, $240 digital entertainment fees plus the airport lounges plus cruise perks are great too.
We were on it a few years back pre-covid. My 2 teenage sons and their 2 friends in a 2 bedroom Haven. They had a ball needless to say ! This time just me and hubby. Boys in college and we are back to cruising off season thank goodness!!!
We went during Easter Break so it was packed. Hoping to return on the Breakaway off season in November if I'm lucky with bidding. Glad you loved it 🙂
Looks are deceiving. We stayed in the Haven on the Getaway and the area is not big and quite stifling in my opinion. The hot tubs were always full of kids and towel hogs were out in force with no loungers to be had. NCL got smart with the new ships by re-designing this space...
We are on a 14 night repositioning from NYC to New Orleans in November. I just search from cruises out of my home port (NYC) greater than 7 nights. Good luck!
My thoughts exactly. I already sprung for a great aft balcony so let's hope for bidding to occur. Right now the Haven cabins are very pricey for this cruise coming in at around 7-8k per person but it's 14 nights...
I am an avid cruiser and huge NCL fan. As a fulltime working Mom RN for 30 years we sprung for the Haven a few times in the 2 bedroom. Now the boys are in college, money is not flowing as freely but have learned also the tricks. We are Sapphire now so get the perk of early onboard and early reservations. Have specialty dining x 4 for upcoming 14 night cruise plus 2 latitudes dinners. Have NCL credit card and have a nice onboard credit. Booked private day passes to resorts on certain islands to bypass the cruisers and save some $$. Booked vibe thanks to this site. Since it's my retirement cruise i am hoping to bid on the Haven but not for the spa room with that big ass tub taking up precious space. I can suffer with prosecco vs champagne with the regular drink package. After 3 who knows the difference 🙂
We are booked on a 14 night cruise this Fall. Looks like there are about 15 Haven suites still available. Not sure if that gives me a good chance or not?
We are in an aft for a 14 day sailing and hoping to upgrade to a Haven aft. The only thing i can think of is these Haven Afts are not actually in the Haven but gives you access to the amenities. I would take that in a second over a courtyard in the Haven area itself. Good luck!
Yes that drive sounds reasonable but knowing mu husband we will take the LIRR. It's a repositioning to New Orleans so we cannot take our own car which gets pricey and I've already spent a small fortune on this upcoming trip 🙂
