We did our part and donated.

To see updates you have to go to Royal's site
Don't click the yellow bar as the other link updates first.
Go to Already Booked, Before you go, Itinerary Updates.
Eventually you will also get an email and text from RCCL as well.
After AA cancelled our flight and automatically tried to rebook, we called and cancelled. They will give you a ticket number and a website address to go to and request a refund.
Just did the Sign and Sail for our replacement cruise. Ugh...... Is it 5 O'Clock yet? Need a glass or two.
What did you pick for a replacement?

Funny, I couldn't get the yellow update bar to come up on their site today. I will check again.

Just found a photo of Adventure pulling into Port Everglades a short time ago...

The Marine Traffic App shows Adventure currently docked in Ft. Lauderdale. The Fort Lauderdale PTZ webcam is offline so its difficult to visually verify.

If Carnival has a ship nearby I wonder if Old San Juan has power?
No one has power in all of Puerto Rico unless it is by generator. The entire electrical grid needs to be rebuilt. It will take months. I am sure San Juan will be a top priority and maybe more like weeks instead of months.

Interesting Maritime article about aid ships already sailed from Miami with containers full of dried goods and generators. They are positioned just outside the port of San Juan waiting for the Coast Guard to clear the port to open, possibly as early as this morning.

The Weather Channel just did an informative report from the San Juan Airport with good factual information.
For those of us that missed it, what is a summary of the facts?

They have been cancelling day by day. no one is flying there today or tomorrow. It will keep going
JetBlue has a flight in the air from JFK that is due to land at 10:30. Many others are cancelled, but flights are beginning to trickle in.

Distance between the two terminal appears to be around 2 and a half miles.
My guess is the reason the Carnival terminal took damage was that it sticks out into the harbor and the Royal/Pan Am pier does not.

if Carnival has assessed the port to be so damaged that they need to cancel the next three cruises how does RCCL expect to be able to sail in 5 days??
It's the terminal that's damaged and they use a different terminal than Royal.

Do Carnival and RC share same port in SJ? Carnival just announced cancellation of upcoming three cruises out of SJ and Barbados. Said would be several weeks as they were still accessing damage to cruise port but it took on bad damage.
No, just got confirmation that Carnival uses the terminal at Old San Juan, not the Pan Am terminal that Royal uses.

That makes sense. I had to go find the other thread to find the part about the Fort Lauderdale stop. The next provision challenge will be for the Sept 30 cruise. That gives them about 8 days to get replacement provisions shipped from the mainland to San Juan.

My guess is that when they stock it on Monday in Ft.Lauderdale, they would include enough provisions to get to 10/7. That's nearly two weeks worth of food that they can load, similar to what they'd do if the ship were sailing a Transatlantic. Also, they can add additional fresh fruit and produce along the way at ports like Aruba.

So St. Croix and St. Kitts survived Maria w/o enough damage to shut things down? I'm having a difficult time believing this.
I read that the US Virgins Islands are holding a press conference this afternoon at 5PM. I imagine it's going to be awhile until St. Croix can accept cruise ships. Also, I have confirmation from multiple sources on the island that St. Kitts is fine.

I wonder how they are going to provision the ship. Presumably they already had frozen and refrigerated provisions ready to go in the port of San Juan. Hopefully they have backup generators to keep these provisions cold.

They will stock it in Fort Lauderdale for the week.

They are sailing the 9/23 trip from there next Wednesday on a modified 3 night trip, so the terminal must only have minor damage.

From the company that operates the San Juan Airport...Luis Muñoz Marín Airport has been closed since September 19, 7.30pm. The terminal buildings suffered minor damage in sections that were out of operation before the airport was closed. Airport management is evaluating damages and undertaking necessary works to resume operations, which is estimated to happen on September 21, on a limited basis. Airport infrastructure is insured against these events, therefore the Company does not expect significant economic impact.

We had good experiences booking on board on Brilliance in 2015 and Jewel in 2016. This past April we booked on board Anthem and the experience was horrible, similar to OP's experience on Harmony. I'm still a relative newbie to cruising (only six completed and five more booked [emoji41]) and I knew more than the RCI rep did.
Similar to other posters, there is very little incentive to book future cruises on board, so I doubt I will be.

We got into a cab intending to go to Hato Caves but when he said $40 each way we opted for the closest (cheapest) beach! Ended up at Mambo and have had the best time. Beautiful water and just so relaxing.

That's great! Never been to Mambo but had heard great things by way of a crew recommendation.
