Depends on the amount of thing you have to plug in. We always bring one just in case. It just can't be a surge protector.

I was told today a 15 yearold needed the id, ages 15-17. The PVP could have been wrong, but if the 15 yearold has a photo id why not take it just in case?
After looking at the FAQ section for US citizens, it states 16+ need an ID. If she has one she can bring it but I'm fairly certain she does not.
-
Dumb question...what if the 15 year old doesn't have a school ID?
-
Of course he did. He's the brand ambassador and will say what the people want to hear. :)
I would be a story if his post was "OMG, we have a floating disaster on our hands! If you bought an early sailing you are out of luck." :D:D:D :D

I was a fan of Harry Potter, Star Wars and super heroes. Also the TV trivia and name that tune are great. Trivia games are one of my favorite things to do on a cruise.

Actually if you go to the Carnival site the P&A and P&A Barbecue/Brewhouse are listed as 2 different places... the 2nd is only available on Horizon.
Same thing for RFP & RFP Brewery- 2 different drinking solutions, the 2nd only on Horizon.
They do this so they can explicitly state what's on one ship or another...
But not where I was looking. In the compare section none of that is listed. It's confusing. All I said was that in this section it isn't listed, everything is coming soon or an X.

Not sure where u got info from on Horizon but it’s gonna have an inside pig and anchor restaurant. I’m booked for June sailing

Under Our Ships there is a compare button. I used it.

Horizon is getting an indoor sitting area ($$) for the Pig & Anchor called P&A BBQ Smokehouse/Brewhouse... I believe it will still be free at lunch.
Red Frog Pub is called Red Frog Pub & Brewery on Horizon.
No clue about Clue... (see what I did there???)
Interesting that Carnival has none of that marked. You would think they would tell a fella. I guess I must be doing something wrong but I compared ships and the Horizon looked worse.
Thanks for the info

I just did a comparison of the Horizon vs the Vista on Carnival's site. Although most of the items for the Horizon are "coming soon" there are a few things that are Xs already. No Pig & Anchor, Red Frog Pub, or Clue for example. Doesn't it seem strange to build a new ship, in the same class, but leave things out from it's sister ship? Am I missing something that the Horizon is getting that the Vista isn't? They are the exact same length and the Horizon has 26 more passengers. They also have no art galleries, which is okay with me, but where is the space going?

It's always worth it to me. I'm big on getting on and getting the vacation started so FTTF works perfect. To me the $75 is well worth getting on faster.

I have always wondered why ships seem to have space set aside for art galleries. Not just CCL but other ships do too. Do they sell enough to justify the revenue per sqft that a ship probably needs to hit? They seem to constantly be empty. I know this is an odd question but I truly can't understand it. To me it's the worst idea they have.
Thoughts?

It isn't a catamaran but I strongly suggest looking at Paradise Beach. It's only $3 to get in and then you need to spend $10 on food and/or drinks. Drink pricing is great too. They have a great beach and also and amazing pool. Take a look.

Sorry if I am replying and hijacking - but - does anyone have a picture of a drink menu ?
I’m seeing if the $55/day pp is worth it ...
I drink yes, but my wife doesn’t drink that much ... especially if we are with our 4 y/o daughter.
Granted - I typically drink goose martinis or makers manhattans.
At $15-$20 for an “after lunch” drink x2
It’s almost worth it.
Thoughts ?
Assuming that you are all in one room, you need to buy 2 packages. So will you drink enough to cover your portion plus some? Seems like it isn't worth it for two drinks in the afternoon. Now if you add in the other stuff like coffees and such, that could be a different story.

I thought I remember reading on here a suggestion to try the steakhouse bar for higher priced drinks.

Blue Iguana for either a burrito or tacos. Then to Guy's for his fries on the side. Now I want to go even more!

Why do you have to wait a day?

Does anyone who was recently on the Dream know on which days the formal nights fall? Is it Sea days?

If 1 person is cruising you can bring 12 cans. It doesn't matter how they're packaged.
If 2 people are cruising you can take 24 cans. It doesn't matter how they're packaged.
If 3 people are cruising, you can take 36 cans. It doesn't matter how they're packaged.
If 4 people are cruising you can take 48 cans. It doesn't matter how they're packaged.
If 5 people are cruising, you can take 60 cans. It doesn't matter how they're packaged.
But what if I have 6 people? Does it matter that two people are under 5'4" tall?

Magic has a ropes course and the Sea Dogs cart. Dream does not.

We always do regular balconies because we like the extra sunlight. Cove balconies and mostly under life boats so they can get blocked. If that is a plus for you then maybe that is the way to go. Personally, I would take deck 9.

I have kids around the same age. They love the kid's clubs. They normally find find friends and hang out with them either at events or by the pool. Hope your kids can find the same.

We are looking for cool things to do in Belize for an excursion and looking for suggestions. Going on the Dream in July and this port has us stumped. Not looking for anything with high action ( think ATVs) or long hikes and SCUBA.
-
I was on the Dream in 2016 and just booked it again for 2018. Great ship.

Due to the great feedback, we just booked the room. Thanks to everyone. I can't wait. Well...I need to learn, it's 363 days away
Re-boarding the ship after a Carnival excursion
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
What forms of ID do you need to have when you re-board the ship after a Carnival excursion? My wife thinks you just need your sign and sail card and I think you need more than that. Who is right or does it depend on where the port is?
