Maybe better and more entertainment options will come back after the Covid BS is over and hopefully by the time you go in 2023.  My experience on the Panorama on March 12th sailing was not all that great.

Scream singing from the entertainment, the band on ocean plaza was so bad, I heard someone ask if there was karaoke going on but I told them no, they are paid. lol.  The DJs played the same 10 songs over and over and if I head one more "line" dance type song, I might just scream.  Everywhere the cruise director went for his little special events, the same old stuff with line dancing.

We tried the game show called something about 60 seconds or less thinking it might be fun, nope.  long and drawn out and games are impossible to win for the kids participating.  Another bust!

The comedians were absolutely terrible and hardly any laughs by the audience, one comedian even said, "oh you guys aren't into this"...lol again.

The people watching was extraordinary so that was the best entertainment all week!

We have another one booked on Miracle for DEC so I sure hope things turn around.

    You sound fun....

I think he was adding the two people together, which would be 70. If one in a couple is a light drinker and the other a bit heavier drinker than the light drinker may not make the package "worth it", but the other makes up for it. If we get back to the ship at 5pm I can easily have one drink an hour until 11 and that is the break even point, even on a port day.

Could very well be that you are correct.  The problem I see with adding them together is that one side can not drink for the other.  Meaning that if I have 7, my wife does not need to drink 3.  She still needs 5.  So adding the amount together just makes it look larger than it is.  It is 5 drinks, could be less if you use discount cards and other ways to prepay.  I never understand why people try to make CHEERS! out to be more/harder than it is.

Obviously, if you're going to drink a ton of drinks by the alchemy and pool, then it makes sense. The real question is, are you going to?

What many of you don't hear is the people who fueled their decision on this same logic. Then end up getting as many drinks as roughly half the cost of cheers. They'll still defend the purchase to the death. It's peace of mind to overspend on alcohol, because alcohol is the center of the universe.

You'll often hear the argument of "you can easily do 5 alchemy drinks in a day!" but will rarely hear "the both of you can easily do 70 alchemy drinks in a week." Why is that?

Not to be rude but your math is way off.  5 in a day is not 70 in a week.  5 times 7 days is 35 drinks a week.  I can, and so can a lot of people, handle that.  Again.  it is also more than drinks.  You get other stuff too.  You seem so dead set against this.  No one is asking you to do it.   Why rain on others parade??  But again, I hope you understand my math lesson and you can somehow understand better.

  4. IMO, if you can drink 5 drinks in a 24 hour period then the CHEERS! package makes a lot of sense.  Yes, it includes soda and any mocktails that you want in addition.  We get CHEERS! every time for two reasons.  One, we can drink the 5ish drinks you need.  Two, I hate seeing a bar bill after a cruise and handling it with CHEERS! is easier for us.  I guess a third reason would be that we are more likely to try new drinks with CHEERS! because if you hate it, just wait the time limit and get a new one.

    Good luck with your decisions.

I have been 17 cruises and have never seen a drug dog on board the ship.

Me either.  If it happened it was a one off situation.  I have never seen drug dogs on a ship looking for drugs...eating at Guy's sure...but not looking for drugs.  No one can pass up Guy's!

Carnival has already stated sailings departing as of April 2022 and onward will continue to operate vaccinated voyages with their enhanced protocols.

We are sailing May, 2022 and received a specific email regarding this.

So, no, Carnival will NOT follow the leader.

So you don't think they have the ability to change their minds?  To find new information and alter their thinking?  How close minded that would be.  I am pro mask and pro vaccines but I understand that with every day that passes new information is gathered.  I bet, for example, the summer sailing season is different policy-wise than now.

Jesus calm down. Spokesmodel is a more common term than brand ambassador for what he does. You are offended over nothing.

Spokesmodel is absolutely not a common term for what he does.  Spokesperson, as was pointed out, is.

At least include other non-alcoholic drinks in the soda package.

Coffee, milkshakes, smoothies, non-alky frozen drinks, etc...

    Add 3-4 bucks per day...

I know... I would still get Cheers...and hit close to 15 every day anyway... LOL!

I agree, I would still get Cheers.  I bet some sort of adder to bubbles would sell.  Maybe not though.

  9. IMO, it's a shame that Carnival doesn't offer a middle ground beverage package.  My family was recently on a Royal ship and they had a package that included alcohol free blended drinks for the kids.  They loved it.  It is surprising to me that Carnival doesn't offer this.  Something between bubbles and Cheers.  Just my 2 cents.

  10. Hello!  We are going on the Mardi Gras with 4 people in a balcony room.  Will  the steward remake a bed back into a couch each day or is that not a possibility? It would be nice to still have a place to sit.  I can't remember what happened on my last Carnival trip as it has been some time with the stop and such.

  11. I can't say for sure except I would be shocked if it is the last night.  Luggage needs to be outside at a certain point and that seems like a hard night to do it on.  I also know the 2nd night has been a popular night for the first night on cruise I have been on.
