Interesting Nic! I may have to try that!

Thanks hard_eight!

I have been searching with no luck. Since we have OBC I want to see if I can play craps with it. Can you use your s&s at the tables?
-
Grand Cayman is a tender port...so be careful with it.;)

Looking to maybe Vlog on the ship and I'm not sure what to use? I have an iPhone 7 and a GoPro. If you Vlog what type of camera do you use? Can I use what I have with good quality?
TIA!

We were able to start right at port last time we sailed the Dream.

I read this title quickly and read it as "Would I fit through the scanner?" :o That would have been a new question for sure.

Does the drink package work there or do you need to pay?
Thanks for the help!!

I have a cruise coming up soon (under 40 days until we leave!!!) and I'm starting to make a list of clothes to pack. I think I'm an over packer. I plan day vs night clothes. I have a shirt for every day and then my night time stuff. Given that there are excursions and pool time, is that too much? How much do you pack for a 7 day cruise?
-
It's back pack! It's a cooler! It's a back pack cooler! Does Carnival allow this? Thinking about excursions and maybe at the pool for water.
-
PERFECT! I'm sailing the same itinerary in July. Thanks for the scoop!
-
What itinerary did you sail (ie what ports)? Off of that question, what day number were formal nights?
-
Horizon is bigger so it will have more people. They will both be full on spring break though. That said the Horizon, IMO, has a better chance at distributing the crowds. Food for example, there are more offerings on the Horizon so the distribution of people helps.
-
Horizon hands down. Newer ship, better ports (IMO), and a day longer. Really not even a question to me. Horizon has so many new things to offer.
-
We go to paradise beach, just a quick cab ride from the pier. It's $3 to get in and you need to spend like $10 in food and drinks. They have a beach and a pool. It's truly paradise to me so we go every time. Good luck where ever you go.

I have been on both and would say that the ships are a lot alike. The one big difference is I believe that the Breeze has the Red Frog pub. That is cool. The Dream has everything else but that. Even if you are not a drinker it is a cool area to hang out in. That said I personally love the Dreams ports of call and NOLA better than Breeze's offerings. That would trump the pub IMO.

I give up, what is a smth?
It's short for something.

Royal is running a sale today, do they a lot? A comparing Carnival Horizon to Symphony of the seas, for the same weekend, has Carnival only cheaper by less than $300. Does Royal run sales a lot? This seem too good to pass up but I'm not ready to make the call yet.

Take a look at JH's FB page to see the listing. Only a few things but they look great to me. Complimentary on the Lido deck. I'm thinking it's fleet wide since he didn't same only on the Horizon like he did with desserts. Cannot wait to get me some!

The Dream is a great ship! Going on it again this July. If it had an indoor pub it would be perfect. Otherwise, we still love it. You'll have a great time!

While I am grateful for all these responses, I think most of you missed my second post that the person in question is 15 (daughter). My fault for not including it in the first post. I have an ID, as does my wife. I was just wondering about the daughter. I have a 12 year old too that I'm not as concerned with, ID wise.
-
When we first traveled with our children, only the one with a license had a photo id. The 15yo and 10yo did not.
Thanks dmdiver. That is what my wife keeps reminding me.
-
The photo ID requirement is for those 16 and over, IIRC. Call Carnival to be sure, but our 8 and 7 year olds don't have a photo ID other than their passports.
She is 15 though.
-
Thank you all!! I forgot to add that the reason we are discussing it is due to our 15 year old daughter. She can bring a high school ID, maybe, if she has one. Other that that she doesn't have an ID. I really don't want to bring the whole birth certificate with on an excursion but I guess that may be the only way around this..
Looking for guidance- aging up from kids club?

Carnival moved my daughter up a few years ago when she was so close to the boarder. We just explained the situation to them and they took care of it. No stress really.
