My husband and I did a 12 day land tour of Vietnam and then a 13 day tour of Thailand with Gate 1 in November 2023.  Our tour guides were excellent, can’t say enough good things about them.  We saw and did so much and both tour guides made sure everything went smoothly.  Our guides also set up extra tours for us that we asked for and were not part of our itinerary and they made it happen.  We are going with Gate 1 at the end of this November to Chile, Argentina (Patagonia) and Brazil.   Looking forward to it and expecting 🤞🏻to have another excellent tour.

Cooper I hope you have a fabulous time ..my grandaughter works for Gate 1..

Hi Deano. I trust all is well with you.

I wish I had an informed answer for you (but I don’t). My best guess is, once onboard, the place to start would be with the Purser in Guest Services though the O Club Ambassador might work as well. But, in my experience, you might not find the O Club Ambassador on duty on Embarkation Day.

If possible, let us know what you find out. And enjoy your cruise!

Go right to the concierge he is he one that can help you..but it rarely happens

I am appalled by Oceania’s attitude about this cruise. I have already been to the Greek isles and I live in Florida so I have no desire to sit by a pool for 9 days. I also don’t feel safe being in the Red Sea while a US naval destroyer is shooting down missiles and our state department has issued a “caution”.
Oceana is willing to give us a future credit but not a credit for our business air, hotel which totals $12,000 out of our pockets!!!!

    What about your insurance??

You may be paying a hefty price for those results, as some of them do not give you rebates.

Middle of the road is best. A reputable agency, well connected with O and a seasoned agent.

Doesnt look like you have that..

Sorry I didnt see you again on the Alaska cruise..hope you had a great time..

    the cabins were small

the a.c was not working     OK good complaint  needs fixing

the food was cold     good complaint  that needs attention

there is  a squeak in the cabin

    the bed was too soft

    no down pillows

food  was not up to the usual standards  ..yes this is  a problem

    We are on Insignia now:

    • The food has been better than expected, so far.  We are on Day 3 of an 11 day cruise, so we'll see.
    • We had lunch in the Grand Dining Room today.  The chilled shrimp and avocado starter was very good, and came promptly.  The Nicoise salad with Tuna was excellent!  The tuna was seared to perfection and there was a LOT of it.  I'm very impressed, and I really didn't want to even try the Grand Dining Room after the fiasco we had with breakfast there on the Riviera!
    • A dress code in Terrace Cafe??  What were they wearing, a thong bikini or a moo-moo?
    • Our cabin, a PH2, is in excellent condition.  We have blackout blinds, they aren't too short, easy to open and close (but then maybe I've got great dexterity?), nothing is ripped, loveseat is comfortable, cushion clips aren't broken, no issues with hot water.  However, there is a smell coming from the drains in the bathroom...swamp gas smell.  We ended up covering up the drains with wet washcloths and so far that has worked quite well.
    • The Wifi is impressive!  Why can't Riviera's work like this??  We do get two accounts due to being in PH2, so if internet is important to you I'd try an upgrade in the future.
    • We rarely use the ships Shore Excursions.  They are vastly over-priced and very crowded.  If you plan ahead you can book all your excursions on your own.  Tours-By-Locals has always been an excellent resource for us.

Throw her off the ship shes happy!!!

I went out to the pool yesterday afternoon to read and noticed very few empty chairs in shaded areas.  This might be a significant problem on warm weather itineraries.

Thats what I love people that project ahead of time..remember if its cool it may be empty  why would you even think about that..

    Amazing..

  8. I use Luggage Free..thought I would try Luggage Forward on my next trip but they wanted $800 for two bags LA to Vancouver and Luggage free wanted $400 so luggage free it is..made life simpler I bought air tags threw them in the suitcase and they worked great knew exactly where my luggage was at all times..Try it..

You must be going on Vista November 3.... I will be getting off that morning..

Did you sample any GDR Lunch "around or taste of the world" platters? Can't remember exact name, but served on a large round platter with about 6 or 7 items.  Different country each day.  Really liked these on prior O cruises.

Will be on Regatta soon, port heavy.  Also enjoy being served, pacing, ambiance as you do.

Was GDR open on any port days?

Thank you for such a balanced review.

Feta thats my favorite lunch Just a few I dont eat..

@Basor yes they held rum from a Caribbean cruise.  Now I bring the bubble wraps for transporting liquor home.

Sorry I do not believe anyone on Oceania  held your Rum..I believe it must have been on another ship..I have sent almost 500 days on Oceania and have never had a problem and I do work closely with them..
