  1. All I have been able to find today is it is scheduled to dock at "WICO"? I thought I'd read somewhere the ship would dock at Crown Bay, but searching for WICO, sounds like it might be Havensight?

If my failing memory serves, Havensight is usually preferred by most cruisers due to it's better location for shopping, etc. Crown Bay seems favored by those who like to watch iguanas near the ship.........😉

    Thanks!😎

Does Celebrity offer luggage valet after the cruise ends?  We will be flying back on Delta. My husband has some physical disabilities and this would make disembarking so much easier.

    thanks everyone..

It has been on our HAL, Princess and Celebrity cruises from Port Everglades. Our most recent was on the Celebrity Infinity October 2022. However, I'd call Celebrity to ask to confirm. Most airlines are included, and absolutely DL. I think Jet Blue wasn't the last time we used that airline.

I cannot imagine why some ships would offer it and some would not, even among the same cruise line. BTW, cost for us on a HAL cruise October 2023 will be $25 pp. We use it every opportunity we can.....FLL is one of the few ports/airports where this service is offered. I think the other is Seattle.

After you contact Celebrity, please post your finding here.

You get an e-mail that your boarding pass is ready on the Website. The time will be on it. HOWEVER, the time will likely change a couple times before actual embarkation with an e-mail each time. It's not "official" until the barcode appears on it a few days before sailing. So no need to print until then. If using the Navigator app, it will be on there as well.

Okay, thank you for that tip.

You don't get to pick your check in time, it is assigned. The "TBA" will be populated a week before your sailing.

Okay thanks. Seems like they'd have had they by now. But our last HAL cruise was a while ago. How do they notify me? Email I'm guessing?

  5. I just printed our boarding passes for our 21 October 2023 cruise. Under "Embark Date/Assigned Check-in Time/Group" it says Saturday Oct 21 / To Be Assigned". We have a non-suite, VB cabin. I never was given the opportunity to select a Check In time during filling out all the "check In" pages, nor have I seen anywhere to do that at HAL's web page.

We're sailing on the Nieuw Amsterdam from Port Everglades. Anyone else have a TBA check in time? I suppose we'll just plan on arriving at the ship's terminal around 1100 unless I head anything else from HAL.

I don’t disagree but sounds like you’ve already completed this task in the past.  Question is if you went there now, does it have the same link to Add Guests (mine said Connect to Other Reservation)

Nope, only added their info for the first night's reservation, then I did the remaining nights' reservations with only "clicking" on their names which were now on the screen. Everything was simple to do once I had their invoice number, birth dates and names of course. I still think it very odd that I had to have their birth dates......this was for my sister and BIL, so I had them, but still..............................

The plot thickens.  Up until recently, in my reservation on the website for a Jan 2024 cruise, there was a link to “Connect to Other Reservation”.  I was not able to make it connect to others cruising with us, but there was a link.

However today, that link is now gone.  I suspect it’s because we used a TA for that sailing.  The reason I suspect that is that I have a Jan 2025 cruise, we booked directly with Celebrity and it has the link.

Very strange for this to have changed all of a sudden

When I added my BIL and sister to our dinner reservations, I believe the button said "Add Guests" or something like that. When I did that, I then needed to add one of their birth dates, name and invoice number.... or it might have been both. Can't remember now. Our reservations were made through the TA I usually use, but the records were not linked in any manner I could determine.

We’ve had limited success doing this and have had to rely on arranging dining when we board.  Celebrity system doesn’t let you link reservation numbers of other parties if you’ve booked with TA’s.  Very frustrating

I  was finally able to get a reservation in the MDR for the four of us. However, to do so I had to have the invoice number of the other couple along with their names and birth dates. It was not so simple as just requesting a table for four. I can see where sometimes it would be very difficult if not impractical to book since often we don't have invoice numbers or birth dates.  Not sure why Celebrity makes it so difficult to do that.

Are you able to book a Speciality restaurant e.g Murano?

If you can go to the bottom of that page and you should find Select Dining.

If not the bookings haven't opened yet - which is unusual.

Certainly an odd place to find it, but find it I did! Thanks for leading me to the page. I need to get my sister's reservation number to make the reservations, but hopefully I can get the time we want.

I need to make a reservation for MDRs on E Class when I selected Anytime Dining? Really?

3 hours ago, the penguins said:

You are on the right page just go right to the bottom and "hey presto" you will probably find Select Dining with a cost of zero. Annoyingly you have to reserve each day separately.

I did a search on that page - the only "select" is where it says "select country". Is there some reason perhaps my ship (Eclipse) doesn't have Select/Open/Anytime/Whatever-I-Select dining? My cruise invoice simply says "Open Seating".

I guess I'm going to have to call Celebrity and spend a couple of hours on hold.......Yipes!

    PaperSniper4,

Log into your reservation account on Celebrity's website. Select Manage Reservation, then select Dining, where you can make your anytime dining reservations for each day. Do it as soon as possible as certain dining times fill up fast. If you can't find a time that works for you, you can always go to the dining room on the first day and make reservations. We are cruising in September and we were able to make our pre-cruise reservations last summer.

Thanks, but I already have done that; several times. When I click on "Manage Reservation", there is nothing for Dining other than "Dining Package". If I click on that, all I see are the specialty dining places. Perhaps we're trying to select dining times too early, as our cruise is actually 105 days from now, I mistakenly said less time earlier....must have been thinking of our October HAL cruise.

I wonder if I must use the phone app to make MDR reservations? I'll try that next.

     Doug.

  12. Our reservation invoice for the Eclipse sailing from LA in October 2023 shows " Open Seating". We are a party of four and would like to reserve a table for four as soon as possible. It's been some time since we've had anytime/open/whatever dining so I don't recall when we can book our dining time in the MDR.

When, and how can we book a dining time?

    Thanks for the help!

    See post #1 above.

Well yes, I read that. My post was that I'd like to see something official from HAL about that service. However, I re-read the link above, and this time clicked HERE <Sign up>  which does lead to a section that has information on the "Luggage Direct".

So, for those looking for information and prices for "Luggage Direct" (your cabin to your final airport), click on the link (HERE) and read about Luggage Direct.

  14. I checked the link above, but it sounds like that is a service that would take your bags to/from the ship where you'd not need to collect them at the airport. I've heard of such a service, but I believe it's called something like "Luggage Forward" or something similar. It's very expensive and we have never needed or used it.

We only need the service where our bags are picked up outside our cabin the last night of the cruise, and we don't see them again until we collect them at our "home" airport. That service used to cost around $25-$50 from Port Everglades, I think  with RCI/Celebrity/Princess? We're not used that service for some time. It was very handy and well worth the cost for us!😎

Anyway, reading that link, it does not sound like that is what is offered. Sounds more like Luggage Forward or whatever that service is called. Can anyone please confirm the "cabin to last airport for $25 <per bag?>" is still available for most airlines for the airports used by Port Everglades? If you can post a copy of the form passengers use near the end of the cruise that would be helpful also. Thanks very much!

Straight from the terms @boze9999 posted: Per Stateroom (not per person), must resubmit for verification each year, and new bookings only.

If you have credit sitting in your account, you can call HAL and ask them to apply it to a booking - I've done that. When I've called in for something, I've also had them say "you have $xx OBC available, do you want me to apply it?"

    Thanks for posting that

Guests must submit the validation form annually to maintain eligibility for the promotion.

I don't know, but really? Seems that if it's on your HAL account page with an expiration date, one would not need to update it annually? But who knows, each cruise line seems to do things so very differently. They're not trying to confuse us, are they?🙄

I guess I just don’t get it, booked a cruise for next year two weeks before this promotion was activated and I can’t use it. The cruise is a year away, it really is a new booking. Anyway, guess I can always cancel and rebook but seems like a lot of trouble. I guess rules are rules.

I'm about in the same boat, but my cruise is only a seven day one. I don't think I'll even both asking for my wife's  AARP OBC. I believe it's only $50 anyway. I just made the final payment about a week ago.

    Doug

  18. Regarding requesting the AARP OBC to an existing booking.....

Never hurts to ask it to be applied to a current booking. I had a military OBC added to a current booking after I learned that HAL was offering the military OBC. I booked the cruise almost a year ago, and used SheerID <through HAL> to verify my military status only a few months ago.

Things could be different with how HAL will handle the AARP, or perhaps there is a reason HAL granted my request for the booking made well before I got my military status verified.

I will probably request the AARP OBC in my wife's name in a few days. I am not an AARP member....although at my age I certainly could be!😆
