  1. Glad to hear from you Michelle. I was concerned your mum was having problems. Keep us posted on her recovery. Jennizor X
  2. Thinking of you Michelle. You have done the right thing postponing your grandchildren for a while. You must be exhausted, so look after yourself. Four weeks to our cruise you will need to get yourself ‘me’ time and hopefully we can meet up. Xx
  3. Michelle, that’s great news. You must be so relieved and glad that she will be home soon. Jennizor
  4. Hi Michelle, sorry to hear about your mum. I hope you get good news when you visit later. Jennizor.
  5. A lovely sunny morning here in Bolton. Just managed to get a photo of a young deer in the woods beyond our garden. So lovely to see, not sure where our cat is hiding out there. Jennizor.
  6. I do agree with your comments John. When I saw this cruise and the sailing back, I booked for 16 nights as previously we have flown both ways and done just the 14 nights. I love sea days but not done transatlantic. I feel we have got the best of both worlds with 5 days in the Caribbean, 6 days at sea, a day in Tenerife, 2 days at sea, a day in La Coruna, another day at sea and then back in Southampton. I don’t think we will have time to get bored.
  7. We are doing 16 nights, flying out early Friday the 15th, returning to Southampton on the 31st. Looking forward to this as we have flown both ways in the past and I hate Barbados airport.
  8. Have a lovely weekend with your family Michelle, it sounds like wil. Jennizor
  9. We are in cabin 12618 so not very far away from you. How about us making a time to call one another nearer the time? Unless you have a better plan. X
  10. Let’s arrange something for the first sea day which is Wednesday the 20th. Not having been on Arvia before, I don’t know the layout, do you? I presume it will be similar to Iona where there is a coffee bar on the bottom two levels of the Atrium. Plenty of time to think about it.
  11. Hi Michelle, our TA says we will be taken to Manchester Airport and we need to make our own arrangements from there. We will just ring our usual taxi company as soon as we land. Looking forward to meeting up on Arvia. X
  12. You need to confirm details of your insurance as part of your check in documentation prior to the cruise.
  13. I contacted our travel agent last week as I had not received confirmation of our coach transfer home when we arrive in Southampton on 31st of March after our transatlantic sailing from the Caribbean. She spoke to P&O about this and was told that they organise this and we will be given the details before we arrive in Southampton. Has anyone else who is on this cruise been told this?
  14. We had a similar red sky tonight Josy. I just love the colours.
  15. Thanks Selbourne I didn’t see the ‘Edit’ button, I just kept trying to input the details into the empty box. Must pay more attention in future.
  16. We are trying to complete all online documentation for our upcoming cruise on Azura on 22nd of December. Under ‘Before you sail’ we cannot add our insurance details. I’m not sure if it’s because we cruised earlier in the year and the insurance details are still valid. Has anyone anyone had this issue?
  17. Thanks for the photos Purdey. We are on this cruise on the 22nd and it’s great to know that the weather is good. Enjoy the rest of your time on Azura. Jennizor
  18. After many years working in Manchester, we only go there twice a year now for dental appointments. I did enjoy working there but glad those days are over.
  19. Definitely Michelle, we must agree arrangements nearer the time. Have a great Christmas and happy new year. Jennizor X
  20. Will do. We only decided on a Christmas cruise because with two separate families, hosting everyone has become a bit of a nightmare (there would be 17). We are both in our early seventies and we have done our share. I will miss them all but if we enjoy this cruise we will do it again. We have sailed on Azura many times and it is our favourite of the smaller ships but have sailed on Iona twice and we are going on Arvia in March, flying to the Caribbean and sailing back. Looking forward to that new experience.
  21. Hi Michelle, I hope all goes well for your move and you are able to get straight for Christmas. We are off to the Canaries on the 22nd on Azura. We have done many New Year cruises but never a Christmas one and are really looking forward to it. Season’s greetings to your family. Jennizor X
  22. We are also on this cruise. We have done many new year cruises but never Christmas. Looking forward to a Christmas dinner that I haven’t cooked, I’m sure it will be special.
  23. I can answer some of your questions but probably not all. 1. Exactly two weeks before your cruise you will be able to book speciality restaurants from midnight. You will have a choice but they get booked up very quickly (based on our experience for our two Iona cruises this year). 2. We booked Sindhu, the Chefs Table and the Limelight Club. We didn’t book Epicurian as we don’t tend to eat three courses these days. 3 & 4. Other than the Limelight Club we don’t tend to go to shows. The Limelight Club can be booked two weeks before sailing. Can’t help you who is on in January. We have always had a brilliant experience, even when we didn’t know some of the acts. 5 &6. There will be two formal nights on Iona. If you log into My P&O cruises it will show your itinerary and when the formal nights are. There are loads of people who dress formally and that includes me and my husband. I hope this helps. I’m sure you will like Iona. We were on her in Feb/Mar and July. We really enjoyed her. We are on Azura for Christmas and New Year, counting down now - 5 weeks to go. Have a great cruise. Jennizo
  24. We also saw Gareth Gates in the Limelight Club pre COVID. We didn’t know what to expect but we thought he was great and would go and see him again.
