  1. Bright blue skies down here too, with a bit of a breeze. They are forecasting showers later.

Washing out on the line as it's an ideal day for drying.

Only a week now til our cruise, so I suppose I should think about packing. We have a boarding time of 15.30 next week so don't know how we will fill the time?

Well, we've had windy weather, sunny weather, pouring rain weather, the sun is out and the sky is blue weather ... and now it is hailing ....

Am trying to work out which month we are in 🥴

It's like that down here too. We had hail showers earlier on. We've just been out to the local garden centre and took shelter until the rain (or should I say tempest!) passed before returning to the car.

  3. Morning to one and all,

Yesterday turn out to be a lovely spring day after our rainy start. Not so nice today, it's windy with heavy showers and a lot colder. but according to the forecast it's supposed to by dry.

My granddaughter's birthday party this afternoon, so will need to finish off the cheesecake I made yesterday.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

  4. We flew out to join Azura in Tenerife January this year. Flying from Bristol, our flight was with Jet2.

We needed to collect our luggage on arrival and take it with us to the coach for the transfer to the port, which is a journey time of about 45mins to an hour, depending on traffic.  Cases were unloaded from the coach onto cages, transfered to the ship and delivered to cabins. Check in was a smooth process, through security and then to check-in.

  5. Next week we are travelling up the day before and have a boarding time of 15.30 we will have a lot of hanging around. Hopefully when we arrive on time we will not be kept waiting, like we were last year.

  6. I too have praise for the NHS staff. From the diagnosis of my first brian turmour and operation was a total of six weeks, and after the re-growth I was treated again quickly. I can't fault the care I received during recovery and after my latest round of treatment, I receive regular phone calls to check everything is OK.

My daughter is a nurse and I know what long hours they work and the pressures they are under.

I am back from the doctor and my ECG was clear, he has changed my medication and said that I can go on holiday but I will get an appointment to go to the hospital for more tests.  I have called Staysure and updated them so I am all clear for our cruise next week. I now just need to decide which clothes I am going to need for the cruise and get packing.🤞

Glad to hear that it is good news, and you can now get on with planning your cruise.

Hope you have a lovely cruise too, we have never been on Arvia, I just feel that it may be a little too big, Sky Princess is the largest that we have been on and she is the one that we are going on this time too if the doctor gives me the all clear this afternoon.

I hope you get the all clear. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.🤞

  9. We have another sunny day here, three in a row😲 We must be heading for some sort of record!

Went out for a meal yesterday with the members of a club OH belongs to, and won a bottle of Prosecco in the raffle☺️ One of my other numbers also came out of the hat, but I asked them to redraw the prize.

Hair dresser is coming to Mum's today, so am going round there to get my hair cut as well. Will also check Mum in online for our cruise next week.

  10. My baking is still in the process of coming together.

After my trip to Truro this morning, it has been a bit like Piccadilly Circus, as it is OH's birthday. First one daughter called in, then my eldest daughter. My eldest son followed shortly afterwards, all with their partners and then another daughter arrived bringing my granddaughter's school blazer with her as well, to see if I could mend it, as a matter of urgency.

  11. Dull and damp was the start of our weather here, then misty. My son requested a lift to Truro as it was raining, the rain turned torrential resulting lots of standing water. I called in at Tesco on my way back, as I wasn't going to go out again in that, and bumped into my daughter (literally). Now I'm home the rain has stopped, for now.   Typical!
