I'm so excited for you because it's cruise day!! Love reading your reviews. We will be doing the Vancouver to Seward cruise in May 2024. I love the Jewel. If you eat in Moderno for breakfast or Cagneys for Lunch, please pass on a big hello to Victor Cordoza from Mike & Kim. He is one of the waiters and he was fantastic when we cruised on the Panama Canal cruise in March.

If you are talking about day 3 the sea day, she hasn't posted day 4 Roatan yet. -
Person after my own heart... I don't like seafood, but the DH does. Hopefully we'll be able to find a place that has good burgers as well as good seafood.

2-bedroom Deluxe Family Suite questions

The Jewel Haven does not have a Haven restaurant or bar. So on that class of ship you are paying extra for the pool and coutyard.... -
On the Jewel the cigar lounge is next to Le Bistro, and in the same area as the Champagne & Martini bars. Although all 3 bars are next to each other. It gets pretty crowded in there at times according to the DH. As far as pricing goes, DH says that they are more expensive than what you would probably pay at home. He is like @Arrow34 where he tends to smore 1-3 a day while on vacation so he brings a lot with him as well.

We were on in March and yes the cigar lounge is still open. As far as drink service goes, I think it depends on how busy the bars are. I saw waiters taking drinks in there, but I don't know if it was real consistent. Enjoy your cruise.

Needs some help…. Flight was just canceled to get to MIA
quillwercruisers replied to Ricks's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
The only time we booked through the cruise line, our return flight connected through ATL and they had an ice storm so we got delayed in ATL for 3 days. Delta was in no hurry to get us out, and I truly believe it was because we were a third-party booking, cheapest fare, bottom of the barrel. We had to pay for our own hotel because it was a weather delay and therefore they weren't responsible. I understand that it wasn't the airlines fault, but I think if I would have paid a higher fare they would have been more receptive to get us out in a more timely manner. They wouldn't even give us our checked bags. Unfortunately we didn't have insurance at the time, so we were out of pocket for everything. -
Booking pre departure hotel package

Thanks for the info, that's good to know. Every time I have compared it has been double what I would have paid booking direct. -

Also, NCL charges per person not per room so expect to pay double what you would pay booking the hotel directly. -
LIVE ALASKA NCL BLISS 04-22-2023 to 04-29-2023 Review

What a cutie!! So sorry for your loss. He will be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge. -
No, I'm sorry I don't. I only stopped by there a couple of times for tea. I'm not really a big starbucks person as I don't drink coffee.
-
I was just on the Jewel in March, and they have the Atrium Cafe that serves Starbucks. It's not a full blown Starbucks as on some of the other ships.

We are going to be sailing on the NCL Jewel, and according to the portvancouver.com cruise ship schedule it shows the East Berth. Is that actually at Canada Place? Looking to stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel, but if the Jewel won't actually be at that location then maybe I need to keep looking. I did do a Google search, and it showed Ballantyne Pier. I understand that it is subject to change, so any insights would be helpful.

Spirit or Jewel for May Alaska Cruise

A little off topic, but is it better to go beginning of the season or towards end of the season? Looking at end of August and heard that there won't be as many bugs... -
Another question on the Upgrade Bid process
quillwercruisers replied to mickeysgal's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
You need to cancel your bids, because if you don't they may select you for one of those cabins and then automatically charge you and create a mess. When you go into your account on NCL.com you should have a banner that looks like this: It may or may not show you your new cabin info and new upgrade possibilities, but you should have the option to cancel out your old bids. Good luck.
