Your belongings will stay in your cabin as long as you are in the same cabin. As far as having to get off then on again, that varies and I'm not sure if it is because of immigration or what. I have heard some people have been cleared on the ship and have stayed on, I have seen where people get off the ship and are taken to a special seating area inside the terminal, then they are boarded before anyone else, and then we had our experience in San Pedro that was a complete cluster. They moved us to different areas on the ship waiting to take us off the ship. Walked us the length of the ship (on the Bliss) to disembark only to have to walk back the length of the ship to go into the building to clear immigration. Then walked us all the way down to the other end of the pier to go back through security where the passengers that were getting on the ship for the first time were going through, then to an area inside the terminal to wait to re-board. It was an awful experience. I hope you have an easier one. I had a carton of the NCL water with me and they made me throw it out before they would allow me back through security.

Pre-cruise one night hotel Panama City
quillwercruisers replied to Gail Boertzel's topic in Panama Canal
We are staying at the Radisson the night before our cruise next month. I haven't touched base with them recently, but when I booked they said they did offer transportation to the port, so I would assume they would also do it to the convention center instead. -
NCL and Columbia's COVID19 requirement

If you are vaccinated you only need proof of vaccination. Not both. According to what you just posted it says and/or. -
This suggestion all depends on where you are embarking. We will be embarking in Panama City (Amador) which would be considered the West Coast, then doing a full transit of the canal at the beginning of our cruise. If they are embarking from the states and doing a full transit and getting off in Colon then it would be at the end of the cruise.

They definitely seem to be getting odder... -
Did they actually have Buffalo Trace? That is very hard to find in our area.

Thank you for the information! Your pictures are awesome! -
@BillB48 Thank you for the videos. They were both very informative. It's amazing what they were able to accomplish, and I can't wait to see it first hand in 72 days.

Since the restart, you must wait until 21 days prior to complete check in.

Silver loyalty drink pkg discount

Not right now since they have been offering it as part of FAS for quite a while. I do remember a long ago distant time when it wasn't always a perk or when certain cabin categories only got 1 or 2 of the FAS not all of them. If they ever stop offering the FAS, then that will become a benefit. -
When we got off the Bliss in November, I know that they had 2 different colored luggage tags. One was for early aircraft departures and one was for later departures. If I remember correctly there was times associated with those departures but I don't remember what they are. They will leave a letter in your room that explains the times better than I can try to remember what they said. So I would think that if you have an early flight you would want to get off with the first walkoff call and if you have a later departure, then just see what time the colored tags for later departures would be called and then get off then. Hope that makes sense.

Gotcha. Sorry for my confusion. I would agree with BillB48 as far as only taking NCL excursions.

Don't mean to sound rude or anything, but are you sure you are going out of Colon? I did a search on NCL for the Joy, and came up with this: This goes out of the Fuerte Amador port which is on the Western side of the canal and then does a full transit. I may have searched wrong, but with the filters of "Joy" and "Panama City, Panama" which was the only choice for Panama and cruises with say Panama City whether it departs Colon or Fuerte Amador, I only came up with the one cruise leaving 6 Dec 23.

For the Free At Sea package, you will pay the gratuities at the time of purchase. It covers drinks up to $15. If the drink you order is above that amount, then you would pay the difference plus 20% of that difference. For example if the drink cost $16, then you would pay $1.20. Also, if you are in port you may have to pay taxes on the drinks you get while in port.
