  1. I believe that they will only due a FCC if there are still cabins available in the category that you are booked. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but that is what I have been told in the past.
  2. If you are talking about day 3 the sea day, she hasn't posted day 4 Roatan yet.
  3. Person after my own heart... I don't like seafood, but the DH does. Hopefully we'll be able to find a place that has good burgers as well as good seafood.
  4. Don't mean to hijack this thread, but can the taxi's carry 4 adults plus luggage? Also, is the cost higher? Thanks in advance.
  5. The Jewel Haven does not have a Haven restaurant or bar. So on that class of ship you are paying extra for the pool and coutyard....
  6. On the Jewel the cigar lounge is next to Le Bistro, and in the same area as the Champagne & Martini bars. Although all 3 bars are next to each other. It gets pretty crowded in there at times according to the DH. As far as pricing goes, DH says that they are more expensive than what you would probably pay at home. He is like @Arrow34 where he tends to smore 1-3 a day while on vacation so he brings a lot with him as well.
  7. We were on in March and yes the cigar lounge is still open. As far as drink service goes, I think it depends on how busy the bars are. I saw waiters taking drinks in there, but I don't know if it was real consistent. Enjoy your cruise.
  8. I had the same thing happen. Thought it was just me...
  9. The only time we booked through the cruise line, our return flight connected through ATL and they had an ice storm so we got delayed in ATL for 3 days. Delta was in no hurry to get us out, and I truly believe it was because we were a third-party booking, cheapest fare, bottom of the barrel. We had to pay for our own hotel because it was a weather delay and therefore they weren't responsible. I understand that it wasn't the airlines fault, but I think if I would have paid a higher fare they would have been more receptive to get us out in a more timely manner. They wouldn't even give us our checked bags. Unfortunately we didn't have insurance at the time, so we were out of pocket for everything.
  10. Thanks for the info, that's good to know. Every time I have compared it has been double what I would have paid booking direct.
  11. Also, NCL charges per person not per room so expect to pay double what you would pay booking the hotel directly.
  12. What a cutie!! So sorry for your loss. He will be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge.
  13. No, I'm sorry I don't. I only stopped by there a couple of times for tea. I'm not really a big starbucks person as I don't drink coffee.
  14. I was just on the Jewel in March, and they have the Atrium Cafe that serves Starbucks. It's not a full blown Starbucks as on some of the other ships.
  15. We are going to be sailing on the NCL Jewel, and according to the portvancouver.com cruise ship schedule it shows the East Berth. Is that actually at Canada Place? Looking to stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel, but if the Jewel won't actually be at that location then maybe I need to keep looking. I did do a Google search, and it showed Ballantyne Pier. I understand that it is subject to change, so any insights would be helpful.
  16. A little off topic, but is it better to go beginning of the season or towards end of the season? Looking at end of August and heard that there won't be as many bugs...
  17. You need to cancel your bids, because if you don't they may select you for one of those cabins and then automatically charge you and create a mess. When you go into your account on NCL.com you should have a banner that looks like this: It may or may not show you your new cabin info and new upgrade possibilities, but you should have the option to cancel out your old bids. Good luck.
  18. I added it to my calendar, and will try my best to get it for you.
  19. We will be on the Jewel starting the 12th. If you don't get an answer before then, ping me a reminder and I will check for you.
  20. No apologies needed. We plan to walk around and see it from all sides. Thank you for all your insight.
  21. Looks like what our view should look like on the Jewel next month. So looking forward to it.
