  1. are the turtles swimming in the open, or do you have to get an excursion once you get to the beach?
  2. We will be there next week, 2 adults and 2 kids. We are renting a pick up truck for the day, and must sees you can recommend? How was the weather?
  3. I hate to start a new thread, but as I search I'm finding great posts from 2-3 years ago, but would like the most current info to not miss out. WE have a full day in Bonaire, 12 hours and will have the golf carts from 8am to 5 ot 6pm. I've downloaded the maps.me app and now bookmarking must stop locations. So far I've book marked (not in any specific order, I will map it all out before arriving: I have saved on map.me: 1) Bonaire Cruisers Location 🙂 2) Donkey Sanctuary (south) 3) Jibe City (south) 4) Salt Pier (south) I would like spots for (we have our our snorkeling equip): 1) Snorkel with Turtles 2) See Flamingos 3) Other must see snorkel spots (North) 4) Other must see snorkel spots (South) 5) Best lunch spot 6) I saw a video on YouTube that showed geyser type things on the coast, that sea water shoots high in the air as waves crash in the caves below... I will update this post as ideas are shared...thanks in advance
  4. we are doing this next week, 2 adults and two children (both 11), what are the must hit stops on the north and south?
  5. anyone know the name of the gps map APP for golf cart routes? UPDATE, I think I found it, "download Maps.me (it is an app). I dont know how it works, but it does. You basically download the map of the ABC islands and it works just like a GPS, even without cell service." does this work well?
  6. Does Jewel of the Sea offer internet by the hour, or by the day? 3 days in I have to verify something by internet, and just need access for 20-30 min.
  7. Link -->> https://www.resortforaday.com/ $139 seems like a lot, but includes a $65 food credit. However my port tim eis 1pm to 11pm and the resort hours are: Resort for a Day guests are welcome anytime 9 AM - 6 PM Marriott Beach Resort Curacao Includes $65 food & beverage credit! Enjoy access to the resort's pristine beach & 2 pools! $139.00 Per Person Pay in Full
  8. I have nothing to add, however can you report back on what you did in Curacao? We will be there on Nov 22, 2 adults and an 11year old.
  9. Did you just bring your own snorkel and beach stuff and rome around until a spot looked good? This seems like a great idea. Did you find any nice spots for beach, or snorkel, or food/beverages? We are there all day.
  10. The “you select room” price is the same for Spacious balcony and regular balcony rooms. If you select “RCL Select” you balcony room it is one price and includes either spacious or regular balcony.
  11. I took the "RCL selects" room option when boking my Balcony for my Nov cruise. The Spacious Balconies and Regular Balcony rooms were the same price under the "you select" option. I just called RCL to try and guarantee a Spacious Balcony but the price difference is $1200 (YIKES). If there a chance I could still get a spacious balcony under my "RCL Selects" balcony room option?
  12. I spoke with a supervisor, they said Royal would refund $2700 and then I would have to file a claim with the insurance to get the remaining $1000 (total paid was $3700). I rather not get into the reason for cancelling, but it is a covered reason. Anyone ever have an issue with the AON Travel Insurance through royal?
  13. Do I have any chance of getting my money back? Before calling I'd like to see if it's possible to get a refund if cancelling after final payment has been made, and with purchased insurance they offer. - I read the Insurance on the Royal site and it states 100% refund if for a non exempt reason. 90% future cruise for any other reason.
  14. I rolled the dice a few weeks ago, balcony for 4….2 were able and 2 were unable at that time to cruise…it appears there were changes today and we now can all breathe a little relief and start losing those covid pounds to look good on our 8 day cruise in Nov!!!!
  15. Hands down this is the best thing I have ever done in a cabin. Buy one of these behind-the-door shoe hangers. They are plastic and very small in the suit case. Once in the cabin, hang it on The wall next to the tv. Misc items galore, fill the pockets, hold anything and easily assessable. Will never cruise with out one (or 2) again.
  16. Tagging along on this thread, we are on the Jewel for 8 days starting 11/19..we are platinum with Carnival, but this is our first Royal cruise. The ship doesn’t appear overly large, and the layout and deck designs seem to maximize outdoor spaces and interior window side seating and eating. Looks like a great ship!! Having said all that, anyone know why there is a helicopter landing pad on the bow? Seems like a better spot for a pool and water slides.
  17. As I begin to plan for my 8 day Royal cruise in Nov, what’s the beverage carry on policy? 1 closed bottle of wine per adult? (We have 2 adults, 1 adult child and 1 child). Can you bring on bottled water? canned 12 packs? Etc. what about port stops, can soda and water be brought in? We drink a lot of water!!
  18. Can anyone confirm if the Vx mandate has been changed? We are family of 4, one under 12, one vax’d and 2 not. Is there still a requirement for medical exception if unvaxed? Please no political responses or opinions on vax or not to vax. Just looking for inturp of current vax requirements. Thanks!!
