  1. Change up the trivia. I've been on several cruises with the exact same questions on each! Wine tastings.
  2. The Chocolate Lovers Coffee at Java Blue is fantastic. Try the Deal Closer at Alchemy...adult chocolate milk!
  3. Yes, the canned and bottled drinks in the case are free if you have CHEERS. I was glad for the sparkling water options.
  4. My family is cruising on the Horizon in September. Ocho Rios is our first port. We were planning on doing Carnival's Discovery Bay Beach Break with lunch, but then I learned there's been an upgrade to the tourist alert for all of the island. The alert cautions tourists to be extra careful when traveling as there's been a major uptick on robberies...even for cruise ship passengers. Anyone been there recently and can offer advice? We were really looking forward to this excursion, but no way I want to put any of us at risk
  5. 100% agree! Watlings and Graycliff are always on my Nassau list
  6. We had one of the sideways interiors in January. It feels very spacious! Only downside is the bathrooms are small.
  7. You are rolling the dice with an early flight. Debark times are completely dependent upon when the ship arrives in Miami and when it is cleared by Customs. If there's any delay in arriving back at port, you'll be out of luck. Delays can happen for weather or a host of other circumstances. If possible, you may want to pay whatever change fee your airline has and switch to a later flight. If you end up missing your original one, the headaches of rebooking are just not worth it imo.
  8. We've stayed in a few of the Havana Insides. While you may hear a bit of noise from the bar at night, it is minimal and ends by midnight.
  9. Havana Insides are the way to go! We love them.
  10. Carnival offers an excursion for this exact itinerary. Did it in 2019 and loved it!
  11. I paid $250 for a name change on an Early Saver rate. It will be at least $200.
  12. Cucina, Guys Pig and Anchor, and ChiBang are all a part of regular dining on the Celebration (in addition to the MDR). Those with YTD can check in on the app and select where to dine for that evening up until 8:30pm. Those specialty restaurants then open up to those with fixed dining times. So unless you're planning on the Steakhouse, Emeril's, or Rudi's Sea Grill, you don't need a package to enjoy specialty dining. We tried both Cucina and ChiBang when we sailed in January.
  13. While this is true to a degree, it isn't very bothersome IMO. We've done Havana Insides 2x and never found it too loud. We're typically are awake until midnight, which is when they close the music down anyway.
  14. Maybe they're not using them anymore. When we were on Celebration in January, there were no Cheers stickers on our cards even though we had the package. I guess the stickers are another "cutback"!
  15. It's a small sticker that has the Havana logo. You will also receive a colored wristband for access to the area. You need both.
  16. Not sure specifically to this Jubilee sailing, but OBC is typically issue per cabin not per individual
  17. We had the square interior in January and loved it. The cabin "felt" bigger to me. I do agree with the previous poster that the layout of the vanity (and that really heavy stool!) make it tough to have anything open while sitting there. Lots of closet space too.
  18. Even with YTD, you will be offered the option to be seated with the same team each night. Might not be the same table, but you'll have the same wait staff.
  19. No one here is going to be able to give you a definitive answer. Best bet would be to call Carnival and ask. I personally would also recommend getting a passport. If you ever have an issue while onboard, a birth certificate alone won't get you back into the US.
  20. An additional comment on shopping on board... Had a VERY negative experience with one of the Liquor store employees. We stopped to buy some t shirts (the 2 for $30s/they were in the corridor just outside the store). One of the guys from the shop literally pulled me by the arm to ring up my sale in the store. Mind you, there was no line where I was and I didn't mind waiting. As hubby had my S and S card, I needed to get it from him. I didn't appreciate being manhandled and was very shocked by this behavior.
  21. Yes. Carnival's other ships go out from Terminal C or D.
  22. Ours was a 5 day. Elegant night was the first full sea day, with a second on the next6 to last evening.
  23. You can also see my review of the 5 day run January 3-8.
  24. No Carnival sips have solo cabins. You'll have to pay the double occupancy rate. I've done it...just choose an interior and it's still fairly affordable. You may get an upsell offer later as well.
