For the extra I would take a V2 at least.
There is a huge price difference between V2 and V3 unfortunately.

Which dining room are you in ? Remember when there was a question on the post cruise survey that asked " were you asked to give a 10 by any member of crew ? " and " which department were they in and what name ? ". Sorry but if we are asked to give a 10 they'd get a big fat zero.
Our wait team are fab and don’t need to ask for a 10.
We haven’t cruised Royal in 18months.
That question is still in the survey. Doesn’t seem to stop them! We are in AIG

I went to Chops again. In the Music Hall now listening to Rhythmocracy do their Coldplay/U2 set. I guess this is as close as we get to a tribute band now.
We were there too. I thought they were better as Coldplay rather than U2!

It’s the second formal/ dress your best night. About 60% didn’t get the memo.
For the 3rd time we get the blaring music and Begging for 🔟 at dinner…. Even when we say Stop 🛑 you aren’t meant to do this, they still continue with their speil…
we won’t get a day off if you don’t give us a 🔟,
I won’t get promotion if you don’t give me a 🔟… 🤷♀️🤦♀️

Thinking about booking but it’s been many years since we’ve been on!
Please remind me which are the best V3 cabins? Any hidden gems?
thanks 🙏 -

@fionat my friend advises me that they have sachets of Nescafé in their room so who knows!
-
You don’t have to ask as there are kettles in all cabins on Anthem ( and ex UK 🇬🇧 sailings)
The teabags are Tetleys. ✅
They don’t do sachets of coffee in the normal cabins - they have some pod coffee maker in JS and up ( I don’t drink coffee so have never taken any notice)!
You can get a carton of skimmed milk from the WJ to keep in your fridge.
I am onboard now.

Today's stop is Olden. Heading to Briksdal glacier. Checked the weather forecast, and it looks like we have a few hour window where the rain may not be too bad. Fingers crossed.
We are on the 9:30 bus to a glacier. Are you ? Not a ships tour

Thanks. Would you suggest taking the bus first or on the way back? And how much time did you schedule in between, before your return trip?
Ok I see your added advice. I noticed that I can choose a 15 minute gap before return or then it goes to 1 hour 15 minutes. Wasn't sure if I needed that extra time.
Our train was late arriving up at the top… we were held for a long time at the crossing point; so we literally had 4 mins at the top … we got off to take a photo, saw the time of departure and legged it back on again!!

Your pictures are great! We are supposed to do this in a few weeks, one way and bike back down. I saw some others mention that they have some train cars/seats for ship excursion people and other cars for the bookings through online direct. Was this the case for you? We booked direct and so I wasn't quite sure if we would be funneled to sit in a specific car or area or not.
Yes there was a section of a carriage reserved - I assume for ships tours. The people following the lollipop walked past our carriage towards the front.
The rest of us had free choice of where to sit on the train, it was about 6 carriages long I think

Walked around the small village, bought a coat that was 50% cheaper than I saw it yesterday in Bergen ( the clothing shop along the water further along from the station!) Take your passport for an VAT reduction refund!
Did NS.
Went to the Flowrider to find @mil76 but he hadn’t come out to play!
and then you jump in the water!
A great day! Now it’s time for a beer!

We took the Flam railway. Booked online for 740NOK/ $63 - same train /seats as the RCI tour for $110🤦♀️
Sit on right side going up for stunning views.
The weather Gods were kind to us today
you can see how close the train station 🚉 is to the ship !
We took the 9.30 train up and back which returned at 11.35
At noon we had booked the bus to the Stegastein lookout. 460NOK/ $42. I may be exaggerating when I say the bus stop 🚏 was 50 paces from the train station!
It takes 30 mins for the little vans to climb up the mountain. But the views…No one mentioned the glass at the end!
That’s what I call a loo with a view!

It's completely out of hand. I didnt mention this before, but they were playing a "10 out of 10" song in the Windjammer on the last day of the last cruise. I work in customer support and we fire people for this type.of behavior. I used to get the feeling that RCCL tried to prevent this, but now it is standard operating procedure.
We were asked probably 15 times ( I’m not kidding) during dinner about the food , the service yadda yadda….
afraid the last guy that came round got snapped at.
If I see the HD I will mention this. As a P I have never experienced this overkill on any other cruise!!
1:0 ⚽️🏴👍
ps: when are we going to meet?

The continual badgering for 10s is getting on my nerves.
They need to learn us Brits do not do this overkill service stuff! And we don’t rush our food down in 40 minutes.
Rant over.
Off to watch the England 🏴 football ⚽️ match!!

in Royal Caribbean International

Went to the Behind the Scenes talk. Very interesting re lighting and sound. Much more technical than previous tours which seemed to involve looking at the pretty ( tatty) costumes!
