  1. We had a writer on Genting Dream a few weeks ago, which gives some insight into what it's like on a Dream Cruises ship. Here's his review: https://www.cruisecritic.com.au/news/4127/
  2. Thanks for sharing the news, Stu. CC hosts are very special to us for all the work and attention they give to these boards. RIP Walt.
  3. I've updated this article (last paragraph) with the latest passenger numbers for NZ: https://www.cruisecritic.com.au/news/4052/
  4. https://www.cruisecritic.com.au/news/4059/ Does anyone know if Windstar Cruises has ever sent ships to AU/NZ before?
  5. Here's the latest report. We're checking on other cruise lines, so please let us know if you hear from passengers onboard. https://www.cruisecritic.com.au/news/3782/
  6. Thank you all. This is very useful feedback, which I will be passing on to the team for a "refurb" of our ship reviews.
  7. Hi crew If you read our ship reviews, I would really appreciate some feedback from our Aussie and Kiwi members when you have some time. 1. Which things do you most want to know about a ship when you are deciding if this is the right ship for you? 2. What do you not care about/is not relevant to your decision to book a cruise? Thanks in advance for your opinions! Louise
  8. šŸ˜‚ You're all so witty (or should I say wheaty?) that I'm changing my job title to Cruise Critic Breaditor.
  9. Here are the names trademarked by Royal Caribbean as potential names for upcoming ships. They might be more original but not sure they are any better. https://www.cruisecritic.com.au/news/news.cfm?ID=8857 I believe P&O will be doing another naming competition for its next ship. Perhaps Cruise Critic can campaign for Pacific Bruce or Pacific Wayne or Pacific Shazza....
  10. I once wrote an article about this topic for The Australian. No cruise lines got in touch to tell me why??? https://www.theaustralian.com.au/life/travel/cruise-ship-game-of-names-from-emerald-to-explorer/news-story/b074dd943fc573e28d16c38e4397c423
  11. Just got the details for this unique cruise. If you love Australian history, it's a cracker. And on Christmas Day they fly you by private jet to Uluru for dinner under the stars! Here's the story: https://www.cruisecritic.com.au/news/3551/
  12. Thanks everyone for your great ideas. Someone mentioned repetitive threads on this board -- unfortunately I can't control that, as these threads are started by members/readers. But I will endeavour to supply the info you have suggested for features, news, reviews, ports, photos and menus on www.cruisecritic.com.au. Will also publish them in our weekly e-letter. I'm onboard Majestic Princess from Auckland to Sydney (boarding tomorrow) so will start there!
  13. I can't decide if that's two or four, but thank you šŸ™‚
