  1. On board. I will take a photo and post it. Maybe I can e-mail Princess Customer service and see if they would let me buy one remotely.
  2. @Coral - I see you're on the Crown right now? Would you be able to possibly see if they have any dark hunter green Kauai port shirts? I bought one last month and leaned onto some bleach from cleaning our countertops and it has a orange blotch now 😞 I'll pay shirt cost + shipping + $5 extra for your trouble if you are willing. I'd need a 2XL. Thank you either way and enjoy your cruise!!
  3. Hi all - if someone is on one of the Hawaiian cruises, would you be willing to purchase a dark Hunter Green Princess Kauai port shirt for me? I'll reimburse + shipping + $5 - I wore mine for the first time today and got an errant bleach stain on it. 😞
  4. We went to Hawaii on the Crown and enjoyed both the Love Boat Dream and the Lychee Rose Raspberry Mousse dessert.
  5. This is the one I was served in April. What flat red outside are you talking about?
  6. Just came off the Crown - did the hand towel trick in front of the nightstands and used a bandaid for the one in the "hall". As far as outlets, we used the one waaaaay back behind the TV to charge USB devices and purchased this to charge everything else (and more USB devices).
  7. Pros: First of the "newer" design ships (Sky/Enchanted/Discovery), still in good condition Cons: Giant photo gallery that soaks up public space in the Piazza, small Good Spirits at Sea, no Crooners I know that sounds like a lot of cons, but we've found we like the Enchanted/Crown over the Sky (but cruising always beats a day on land)
  8. We just got off the Crown on it's last Hawaiian cruise for the year (April 14-29). As someone who has only done Alaskan and Caribbean cruises, most of the sea days were more Alaskan than Caribbean. Was completely unprepared clothing-wise.
  9. We attended the luau at Nutridge last week and loved it. It was very informative as well as enriching. Best of all, it was only 47 people and they picked us up from Ala Moana Center and took us back to port. (we did not buy it from princess but it was 4-8 PM - plenty of time to get back to ship)
  10. We made the mistake of asking for extra crispy bacon. We got a plate filled with extra, crispy bacon.
  11. I'm currently on the Crown and have been able to narrow my order to *name of premium dessert* in a to-go coffee cup, without the candy. All I really want is ice cream with some toppings.... maybe they should replace the "OceanFront" with a froyo place.
  12. We’re currently on the Crown Princess in Lahaina. Tendering off took over an hour due to the harbor master limiting tenders from the ship. On the way back, this was the line to get back to the tender. 70382235217__5DCF787B-9F7D-45BE-9C6B-AE2726761566.mov
  13. The Crown did not. We talked to one of the assistant managers of Food and Beverage who hoped it would be added during dry dock but…. that’s not something easily retrofitted in.
  14. If you look at the other thread here, he gets a third mini-bar setup, a second floral arrangement, the shirt he had to buy comp'd and additional OBC. I would be praising Princess's customer service left and right in my review but you can't please everyone apparently.
  15. Pre-COVID, we felt uncomfortable in the MDR on Formal night without a suit jacket. Post-COVID, we now feel comfortable in dress pants (black/khaki/grey) and a short sleeve dress shirt. Before I get booed off-stage, keep in mind that driving to a port with a suit is a lot easier than flying to a port with a suit.
  16. ...while also hoping the person in front of you at the buffet salad bar did the same.
  17. Yeah, I don’t love that either. NCL is trying to move up market with the Prima and Viva, Carnival with the Mardi Gras and Princess is slapping the marketing phrase of the month on the side of the hull.
  18. We saw that Angela Afo is on our cruise next month on the Crown. Has anyone had her before?
  19. I did not like that people walked through Take 5 after things complete from the theater. Moving Take 5 to something a little more intimate and less.... interruption would be nice.
  20. Only one type of gel works for Norovirus and that's the Purell Prime Defense. Just FYI.
  21. We've supposedly received ours but won't know for sure until we board in April.
  22. I’m on the same sailing and noticed that the enrichment activities have changed from ELUA to Angela. Then again, there’s some overlap with times on enrichment and naturalist talks so I think the CD staff is still working things out.
  23. Leaving in a couple weeks for a 15 day roundtrip on Princess for Hawaii - I was anticipating bringing a 14-35mm, 24-105mm and 70-200mm for my R5. I shouldn't need my 100-500mm for anything right? Whales will most likely not be there and we're doing a "drive around" in Hilo, "walk around" in Honolulu and snorkeling/beach days at Maui and Kauai (not going to bring the R5s for that).
