  1. My first cruise was in 2003 on Carnival with my the 16 yr daughter. We booked an excursion in Roatan (coxen hole dock), I think it was glass bottom boat but not sure. Our bus went up a steep winding hill, not far from port. On the left side was cliff and ocean, on the right, houses with kids in the yards. At the top of the hill there was a stop sign and the bus stalled (standard). The driver couldn't get it started and then we start rolling backward down the hill. The driver was trying to steer the bus as it rolled down the hill picking up speed. I thought for sure we were going to hit one of the kids, of go over the cliff. We finally stopped by slamming into a garbage truck that was stopped on the road. The girl in the last seat took the worst of it, she was caught between the seat in front of her and her seat. She kept screaming Oh My God, over and over till they got her out. I never heard afterwards how badly she was hurt. Everyone was very shaken up. When everyone was off the bus, the guide said they would send another bus and continue the excursion but we all refused and walked back to port. My DH and I spent the rest of the day in the market near the port and she got her hair braided. When we got back to the ship we went to the excursion desk and asked for a refund. We were told because they offered another bus and we refused that they would not refund. They eventually changed their minds and gave refunds after everyone on the bus complained.
  2. A vaccine. Although when I do cruise again, possibly 2021, it will not be on NCL.
  3. I would assume it is a website error. If it is not, NCL has lost their minds!
  4. I would not give NCL a cent until they start sailing again.
  5. They are opening up restaurants and entertainment venues in Georgia?
  6. What they want to hang on to is your money, as long as possible!
  7. What does it matter what anyone thinks about when cruises will happen? It will have no effect on when that happens. Cruising will start again when it starts, regardless of what anyone here (including you) say.
  8. Me too! Before the plague, I was getting about 10-15% return on investment, now just hoping to recoup the money lost since this thing started. I opted for the FCC. I had a 7 day and 11 day B2B booked, the extra 25% amounted to almost $1000 USD, about 1350 CAD. I thought that was worth it. There are similar itineraries next May so hoping to book those.
  9. https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/canada-u-s-agree-to-extend-border-restrictions-by-30-days-sources-1.4900471
  10. If they cancel it now, they have to refund your money by July 17th (approx 90 days). If they cancel on say June 1st, they can keep your money until Sept! They don't care about making this easy or fair to their customers, they only care about keeping your money as long as possible.
  11. Considering their last "wave of cancellations" encompassed 4 days, they will wait as long as possible and make the length of the next "wave" as short as possible. They will do everything in their power to keep your money as long as possible.
  12. I was being generous, I wouldn't pay $1 CAD. I don't even drink it when I get if for free.
  13. That's what it sounds like. So that is about a $20 value? Bag of laundry = $20. bottle of sparkling wine = $5 book dining 125 days out = $0 So that is about $45 value. People are reporting that their mini-suite has gone of $500 - $700 with this new classification. FDR has outdone himself with this one!
