  1. I think that would be tough to do. We have multiple companies in our corporate structure, and have quite a few international employees working in the states for us. If a cruise line operates like we do, their immigration attorneys would have to work on the visas for intl employees every time they change companies. This is just speaking from my experience in working with the immigration attorneys in our company who are always requesting info to make those (time consuming) changes between companies that roll up under the same 'umbrella'.
  2. Hopefully, third time will be the charm for you! 🙂
  3. I can’t speak for Europe, but we’ve found that Nee England and Alaska cruises are like the Caribbean. We book early for all, and rarely have discounted prices. Only right after Covid did we find prices dropping later. With the sailings we have now (RCI and Celebrity) we paid considerably less than they are charging now.
  4. Thanks for that info. Worst case scenario, we will have to visit Norway, and take day cruises around the fjords. I think our retirement cruises are going to break the bank for a year or so. 😂
  5. We just bit the bullet after talking several times. Odyssey TA, then Odyssey Holy Land cruise. 26 days at sea. Then maybe a bit of time in Italy afterwards. 😍
  6. @Tree_skier, I'm sorry. That is tough. We want to do a Norwegian fjords one day as well. I know it has to be as stunning as AK, which we love. Maybe if you entice the DW with lie-flat business seats.....
  7. Yeah, I was giving myself a bit of space. I thought it was next day, but just can't remember. I know it was really quick. 🙂
  8. My husband keeps telling me to call Michael to find out when the rest of the TAs will hit the website.
  9. It could handle the colder weather just fine, and I betcha some of you on the other side of the pond from the US would like that. 🙂
  10. Very interesting. Great catch there! I think the NY/NJ market would be tickled to have Odyssey, if that was what happened. But, it was built for warmer weather, so maybe a possibility of a short southbound cruise? Will have to watch that now. 🙂
  11. I'm glad someone can. I must have checked for TAs on Oasis about 20 times so far today. 🤣 I anticipate another 20 lame attempts before I give up for the day, and go back tomorrow to rinse and repeat. 🙃
  12. Now that it's working hours here on the east coast, I'm hoping the IT dept gets things up and running soon. 🙂
  13. I saw some Voyager sailings much earlier this morning (can't remember the dates/itineraries), but those and Anthem disappeared from what I can see.
  14. Yeah, sometimes I get an error, other times I'm able to see the cabins for Odyssey TA. I'm holding out right now for more to load.
  15. Must be having issues. I only see Explorer and Odyssey right now on the RCI site for TAs but just a little while ago, saw a couple of others including Anthem. Now those have disappeared. No Oasis yet.
  16. We can’t do a TA till we retire too….and this will be our first post-retirement vacation. 😁 Hope you have a great British Isles cruise!
  17. I hope so! Our first TA, and I’m really excited to throw money at RCI. 🤣
  18. I just checked again in case a miracle had happened and cruises populated tonight. 😂
  19. You can’t go by weather predicted that far out. Heck, our weather forecasters can’t get two days out correct, much less that far out. 🙂
  20. Thanks! I’m hoping that Odyssey will do a unique, longer first sailing. We are hoping to do a TA, then a longer cruise in Europe, Norway, Greek Isles or other itinerary. Getting excited for the cruises to go on sale. 🙂
  21. Not our experience. Even when my sister and aunt (who both have limited mobility) sailed with us to AK. They sat down in chairs nearby as we waited for the muster reps to get set up. My husband and I each scanned our cards, acknowledged we watched the video, etc. , and the rep walked over to sister and aunt to ask if they had watched the video and instructed them to come directly to the location if they heard the blasts. He then scanned their cards. YMMV
