Guilty as charged.  I have three little  boys and one husband and they are MESSY.  Vacation is my escape.  I love for once not having to tidy up and clean by myself—and I tip insanely well.

I fail to see why it is offensive to have room stewards tidy the room they are paid to tidy, especially if I tip generously.  I do it all at home every day after I finish my day job and don’t get paid a cent.

I just would like to know what you mean by tidy up?  My cabin  steward vacuums, make the bed, cleans up the bathroom etc.  But he does not have to put away any of our personal property in our cabin, that is taken care of by us.  And yes, I tip well too.

From what I've seen in some cabins when passing by, there are some people who almost require a butler to pick up behind them constantly.  Their cabin are in total shambles with clothing thrown about & it's almost impossible to see the desk top.

They must live like that at home also.

I can only imagine what the bathroom looks like. 💩

I have seen that too.  It is awful..  There is nothing left messy in our cabin.  Even the dirty towels I fold and leave on the bathroom floor. Even to leave the dirty towels on the floor goes against me.  But that is what they say to do.

The closet on Princess, I feel is large. But  I could use more drawers space.  I bring a hanging "thing"(I don't know what I call it) to put extra toiled articles in.  I also use packing cubes.  I just unzip them and put them in the closet.  I bring a folding laundry basket to put on the closet floor for dirty clothing. In the bathroom the sink counter has nothing on it but a pump bottle of soft soap.

I just can't live is a mess, on ship or off..

Thank you.  I hope you are both doing well.

Thank you.  We are both well.  We are not cruising now because of covid.  We hope some day to get back on board.  But that may not happen.  We are happy that we sailed as many times as we did.  We have all our great cruises to look back on..

Thank you. We were both fine on the ship. My friend tested a few times after she got home.  She tested negative each time and never developed any symptoms. I was exhausted the day I got home and developed a headache that day.  I figured it was just because of everything that I had to deal with at the port when my battery was stolen out of my car (lovely day, lol).

The ER doctor told me that we are contagious 3 to 5 days prior to any symptoms and testing positive. I was really upset because I would hate for anyone to be sick because of me.  I sent an email to Princess letting them know that I did test positive and I told them the names of the employees that I had daily contact with.

That was very nice of you to send Princess a E-mail about who you had contact with.

I’m almost back to normal.  I hope I never go through that again.  When I was sick I thought I would never step foot on a ship again but I love it.  The worst part of it all was that I was terrified my friend would get sick that cruised with me in an inside cabin. Thankfully she stayed healthy.  How is that even possible?  I have several months until we cruise so who knows what it will be like by then.

Sorry to hear that you got so sick.  I hope that you keep on getting better and enjoy your next cruise.  Did your friend take a covid test after getting home, or on ship?

We requested to change cabins but they said that no cabins were available, when I replied” what if the toilet isn’t fixed” guest services” the plumber is very busy but is aware of your problem” and if it keeps breaking after the plumber shows up ‘which it did everyday. The smug guest service rep ” then we will keep sending the plumber”

Very sorry to hear about not have the very basics of a working toilet.  And to think that you had to spend your hard earned money for this.

  7. The only draw back for me with that cabin would be, metal rail can't see ocean while sitting.  Would it be windy when the ship is on the way?  Long walk to most dining areas.  How much ship motion would you feel.

How far forward from aft on the port side are the cabins?  Cabin #s if possible.  We are booked in 4116 & I'm a little nervous.  TIA.

I see that you state that you are a little nervous.  I understand that.  Everyone has a different comfort level.  After I read post #8  made me more nervous.  Post # 8 says 300 on board were using quarantine cabins.  There had to be more unreported cases onboard and people who got sick after coming home.. I kept thinking 300 people had to have contact with so many others.  Every cruise will be different with the number of people having covid.  I am not telling you what to do.  But are you going to be able to enjoy your cruise being a little nervous about the quarantine cabins and covid on board?

I wish you the best cruise ever.  Let us know how it went.

  9. I GOT it (I think)  I did the plus pass again.  It then told me to save into my wallet.  But it also said my phone could not support the save.  I click it any how.  It seems to be saved.  I will now close the app and see what happens.

How did you enter the boosters yourself?  Are you talking about the New York Excelsior Pass Plus?  I had understood the Health Department needs to do that data entry after your health care provider updates your record in the state vaccination data base.

It can take up to three days for Excelsior Pass Plus to show any boosters.  The original Excelsior Pass won't show any boosters.

I had a notice to get the Plus pass. I all ready had the other pass.  I follow the instructions, put in name, DOB and date of last shot (not booster).  Then a page came up showing when  when I had the boosters.  All the info about my two boosters came up.  Then I closed the app, reopened it and the boosters don't show now.
