I’m in an OS on 14 right now. You can definitely hear the music from the pool deck in the cabin and some chair dragging and heavy walkers so I think if you were under the sports court you’d definitely hear it. We’re not in the cabin during the day and they only had one night time pool deck party this week and it ended at 11:15 so it wasn’t bad. We haven’t been bothered by the noise from above but some may be.

Hey Shrek...can you please call off Fiona?
Jerseygirl1416 replied to island lady's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes going to Canada may not be an option. I guess we’ll know our fate soon. And no I didn’t get the email😂again but was emailing with him earlier to have him fix my half canceled Izumi reservation and he said to look for it and respond with my requests. I’m not concerned because I have any early arrival time and can just make them myself on the app. But thanks for the heads up. -

Waiting to hear about Oasis 9/18. If we’re rerouted hopefully they let us know soon! -

Ugh…I hope they tell us in advance if that’s the case so we can pack accordingly. Have you heard anything about any changes? Do you think the NE route would be our only option if we needed to reroute? -

I just got an email about some cancellations on my cruise planner for our sailing on Sunday. It said due to a change they were canceled. It was Solarium Bistro on the last night, a MTD reservation, and just me off an Izumi reservation. I’m pretty confident it was just a screw up but with Fiona lurking not 💯. Have you heard of any changes for next week?

RCI Newbie, Deck preference question
Jerseygirl1416 replied to villagenut's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Been on deck 8 in OV balcony and GS. Liked the OV balcony was underwhelmed with the GS. Absolutely love being on deck 8. So convenient to coffee in the morning at Park Cafe, love night caps in Central Park and just nice using CP to get from forward to aft elevators without having to go down those loooong hallways. -
CocoCay Water Park Cost - $161?
Jerseygirl1416 replied to rsteenblik's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I’d keep monitoring prices especially the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. You can always cancel and rebook. The lowest our Beach Club went was $159 and as high as $209. Even with 2 ships there as long as you go out onto the island by 11am there will be plenty of chairs. It’s the people that wait until lunchtime or later that end up having trouble finding loungers together. -
CocoCay Water Park Cost - $161?

We leave this Sunday on Oasis so maybe wait it out and watch for it to come down? Although being a new ship they might be charging a premium for everything? -
Oasis - Question on Casita pricing
Jerseygirl1416 replied to smheese's topic in Royal Caribbean International
On Oasis they are scattered along deck 16 above the pool area. The suite sun deck is one up from there. IMO it’s a great concept but very poorly executed on Oasis. The locations are just worked in between regular loungers and face regular loungers. If you’re just looking for a reserved seat outside and don’t care about location or privacy these would be ok. It’s nothing compared to the Vibe Beach Club on NCL and costs more. -

Nothing on the island is too far from anything else if you don’t have mobility issues. -
dropping bags off at Guest Services
Jerseygirl1416 replied to jkx's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I doubt it’s the avoiding tips to the porter that make people not want to check their bags. I’m so traumatized by all those flyers we’d get in our cabins looking for missing luggage, particularly on Carnival, that we’ve learned to pack light. As in a airline size carry on roller suitcase each and a big purse for me and we bring our stuff on board with us. It’s not that hard to find a spot to hang out, usually out on deck and have drinks and munchies there until the cabins open. It’s definitely given me peace of mind knowing that my suitcase will not be featured in the weekly flyer. -
From someone who just got finished making a meatloaf and peeling potatoes in preparation for dinner tonight, I say bring on the meh dining room food! 😂

Allure OTS - relaxed dress code expectations...
Jerseygirl1416 replied to bgoff60's topic in Royal Caribbean International
My husband hasn’t worn a suit or a sport coat in years but some still do. He wears a button down shirt with khakis on a Caribbean cruise for dress your best night or whatever they call it now.
