  1. Whole thing changes except for the favourites.
  2. Riedel glasses still being used on Sky - but I will double check tonight to be sure ! We have been taking glasses away every night with no issue. If Vines is full, which it has been every night this cruise, you have no option but to take the glass away when you try and find a seat.
  3. Yes, still exists. You send your claim to the relevant office, (UK, US etc) with proof of ownership. Sorry, can't post a link at present, but details are easily found via a simple Google search.
  4. Or for European destinations. And you will not be asked at check in either.
  5. We never, knowingly, eat Basa. Just not worth taking the risk.
  6. We are just passing through the BoB. There has been a reasonable swell, enough to give you the "corridor wobble '', but nothing serious. But, yet again our cabin has been creaking and groaning (we are on Sky Princess) with intermittent random knocks and taps - and it's not the coat hangers banging together ! Regardless of the ship, we always seem to encounter these noises, once the ship starts to move a little. Have we just been unlucky in our cabin choice, or is it just due to the modular construction of modern ships ?
  7. Actually, it was quite a benefit, as the wine was vastly superior to the plonk you get on the package.
  8. There are two "buttons" on your door screen/portal that you can activate. Green shows that you want your room serviced, red that you want privacy.
  9. We were given a very nice bottle of wine tonight. So, things went wrong, apologies given, and a gesture in the form of a good bottle of red wine. Good customer service in my book, and am quite happy.
  10. Turned up tonight at the Soleil dining room. Restaurant Manager led us to a nice table for two, and gave us a nice bottle of red wine. So,all is well. We had a bad experience but Princess put it right.
  11. Yup, we did a Spain Day Tours trip as well. We'll organised, and nice to just have a small group. Gave us a flavour of Bilbao, but still much more to see. Quite rough last night. Not a problem in itself, but the creaking and banging in the cabin made sleeping difficult. La Rochelle today - a long, free, shuttle ride to the town. Cold and damp, with a tremendous hailstorm around noon. We cut short our visit, and returned to the warmth of the ship. Tonight's menu: (I think I will skip the Brussel Sprouts and Kale salad, in order to protect my wife!)
  12. And me. No problems at all, with all our information automatically transferred to a future cruise
  13. At least 50%wearing tuxedos on Sky now.
  14. Currently on Sky. Breakfast is 7:30 to 9:30, but only go if you are not in a rush !
  15. Captain says there will be rough seas on the beam tonight. So, early shower, coat hangers stored away, and plastic wine glasses at the ready. Ready to rock and roll !
  16. I'm on board Sky - no news. With the Plus and Premium packages, I'm not sure how many people would be interested. 20% discount if you buy 6 bottles ? Would anyone bite ?
  17. We'll wait and see. Personally, I know that things can go awry, and a personal apology is all that is required. Anything else is nice, but unnecessary.
  18. Actually just had an apologetic call from the restaurant manager to apologise. He is going to look after us specially tomorrow !
  19. My wife is only barely talking to me, because I booked this cruise without checking the dates of the Easter Holidays! Most of the children onboard are fine, but some are virtually feral. But, we are looking forward to being back on Sky in July, going to the Baltics - hopefully much fewer children onboard then.
  20. To be fair, nothing to do with the Medallion, which at the end of the day is only a glorified cruise card. For some reason, last night the service seemed to go into meltdown - previously the service has been good to excellent. The restaurant manager has already phoned us to apologize, and is going to look after us specially when we eat in the MDR tomorrow night. I actually think that the fact that our complaint has been taken seriously, and that we have received a personal apology, is to the credit of Princess.
  21. Service last night in the Soleil MDR was the worst we have had this trip. Our poor waiter seemed to have been deserted. He had to take drink orders for our table of 8, and disappeared I presume to the bar and then reappeared to take the food orders from everyone, including dessert orders. Not sure why - but it made the ordering process long and slow. We then waited and waited. Drinks appeared, we waited some more, starters appeared, and then nothing ! 90 minutes after entering the MDR, no one had received their main course. I don't mind a leisurely meal, but not this slow. So, we decided to leave. Out of nowhere, the restaurant manager suddenly appeared, asking for a few more minutes. Our view was that we were not going to wait any longer, so we walked out, and went to the buffet instead. Disappointed - hopefully just a blip, but we are going to Alfredo's tonight to be on the safe side !
  22. Yes, tea making facilities are up and running. The kettles are a little on the small side, but adequate as long as two of you don't want full mugs of tea !
