I know because San Diego is a US port, I will have to leave the ship for customs as will all passeners. Will HAL move my luggage betwen cabins if I have two different cabins due to the two bookings or do I have to lug it all off the ship and then lug it all back latter in the day?.

As of April 2023 accroding to the Coumbian Gov. Website, there are no estrictions nor requirements to enter Columbia other than the statndard on-line form with name etc.. There are volcano warnings and security warnings but no health warnings. Happy Days.

Years ago. HAL sent out pre- cruise questionaires to guests (Solos and couples) that had requested a large table at the second seating to insure compatable tablemates. The questions covered language spoken, careers, hobbies, prior travel, general interests etc. Do they still do this? Second question not at all related but why not use the space _ Is there a church service offered on Sunday mornings?

Also good to know that the cabin wil be ready on arrival on board. Did an NCL last January and the lugging of carry-on bags was a drag. Only one really unanswered question. Being a bit of a belt and suspenders guy, I would not use a luggage to the ship service but a luggage to my pre cruise hotel hopefully works because if it does not show I have time to go out and buy a full wardrobe. Not possible if th bags do not show on the ship if sent directly from home. Anyone done this?

Maybe we could get the line to also put the passengers name and nationality on a name tag. Reminds one of something done during the 1940's. Not a great idea for either passenger nor crew.

Recently booked the Panama cruise in January 2024 with an N indicated as the cabin class with a guarantee room. I notice that there are only 4 such cabins on the entire ship. How does HAL work all of the inside guarantees against just four rooms?

No need for the jacket but one can still have one available by wearing it on the train trips. I do not fly and take the train and wear a proper blazer with wool slacks and dress shoes on the train and that opens up space in the suitcase.

Thank you for the prompt reply. My TA checked with their supervisor and all is good. Booked as two distinct cruises and may have to move my cabin but no biggie there. By doing two distinct cruises I get two OBC from the TA plus two OBC on the stock purchase. Had originally booked the QM2 2024 world cruise but too many covid iffys and who knows what the South China sea will look like in March 2024. So HAL looks like a perfect alternative. Small ship, good food and good folk. I have done the Panama Canal both ways on Cunard and loved the cruise.

I am trying to book a 15 day cruise from Ft Lauderdale to San Diego in January and then immediately return on the same ship for a 15 day cruise back to Ft Lauderdale. My TA says this is not possible as it involves two US ports. But both cruises have foreign ports in between. Anyone have a good answer to this? Someone who has done it before if possible. Thank you

If you wish to sail Mickie D style I recommend a different brand entirely. Grab one of the really mass market repositioning sails. These folks know how to offer a down low low key no frills experiene for half the price of a proper Cunard sailing.

Such is what happens when those who don't know how to drive a stick shift car end up burning out the clutch by riding it for a full world cruise. Oh for the days of a staff filled with adults.

Pretty elitist attitude dude. Many people save a lifetime and do not have the extra juice to handle a poorly done Cunard experience.

Wonder how they are handling people who for whatever reason can not or will not fly or simply do not have the financial ability to do so. May be a few new immigrants arriving in England today.
