  1. You can also access them by clicking on your boarding pass on the website. Just below the link to the boarding pass will be the luggage tags.
  2. Isn't it more common to not sail at 100% on European sailings anyway? Ships out of Baltimore have always sold out (prior to Covid) and currently our Bermuda sailing on EN hasn't had balcony or suites available for a while and not many inside or OV left. NJ is the same way usually.
  3. Ours gave us $12/test, which I think is the minimum lol.
  4. Also, according to Tony (La Lido Loca on YT) the CDC is re-evaluating pre-cruise testing.
  5. A theory is something that isn't proven so it is a theory. I never said anything about vaccines, masking or testing not "working". What I said was there is no way to prove that pre-cruise testing makes any difference. TA's have no clue about how many people are denied boarding except for their own clients. Our TA's are good friends and they have no inside information. And, as I said previously, testing will be going away.
  6. You can't tell me airlines had lower positives pre-boarding than cruise ships yet they aren't testing them anymore. Also, you just have a theory in your mind that pre-cruise testing cuts down on cases. That is a theory that has never been proven. Not to mention, for every person that tests positive, how many don't that would a day or two later? Too many variables to state that pre-cruise testing makes any difference at all.
  7. It's a very short video as in just a couple of minutes long.
  8. We have a very good friend who is a priest that we have known since college. He has very limited funds and time off. He used to take his mother on trips once every year or two (she paid but he was her travel companion). She's gone now so his travel is more restricted as he just doesn't have the income to do it as often.
  9. I was thinking something similar. I'm not even Catholic. DH was raised Catholic but we're non-denominational now.
  10. Most Catholics don't want an interdenominational service.
  11. Well, they are on vacation. There could be several, but they have to want to volunteer. I've only seen services listed on the compass a few times.
  12. Pretty sure you missed my point. Get ready because pre-cruise testing will be going away.
  13. I can't tell if you're being serious or facetious. Cause you know, no one goes ashore when on a cruise.
  14. BTW, no cruise line has approved any power strip or anything that Amazon or anyone else sells. I just take a USB cube that plugs right in. It can handle two USB's plus I have a USB hub that can handle 4 USB's. LOL, I just read the info. It's says approved "for", not approved "by".
  15. Countries are dropping the requirement and letting people in to spread out among their populations so there is absolutely zero reason to keep testing cruisers. Tourist are staying in hotels, eating out, going on excursions with others, etc. Apparently logic completely evades the CDC.
  16. Yes. In fact, starting today we can submit for our 22 July cruise. From everything I've read, that won't be going away anytime soon. They have it figured into their budget until sometime in 2023 at least.
  17. It's what I was hoping for when I posted the story lol. Our upcoming July cruise is to Bermuda. They changed the requirement to provide a negative test for vaxxed individuals on their travel authorization already. I have four tests I will gladly toss in the trash and take a loss on if I don't ever have to use them 🙂
  18. But cruisers did/do have to have a negative test. POINT IS, this is another step towards testing going away. More and more countries are dropping the requirement.
  19. I know this will probably get moved to the ports of call board, but I hadn't seen it posted. I could have missed it, but... https://www.forbes.com/sites/ericawertheimzohar/2022/06/17/its-better-in-the-bahamas-bahamas-removes-travel-health-visa-requirements/?sh=87c4ec92d6d4
  20. There are two doors. One for suites/pinns and key which is clearly marked and one for regular check ins. They enforce the times. If you arrive at your scheduled time, go up and ask the person manning the door. It's pretty simple to say "hey, I've got x check in time, where do I go?"
  21. Well, some have posted that PC doesn't enforce times. We were on Harmony on Nov 28 and we basically walked in but capacity was about 40%. We're on Jewel this Nov so interested to see what they do.
  22. The problem is not kids in the lounges, it's unparented/unsupervised kids in the lounge. We've had kids in the CL and DL and just like anywhere, some parents think nothing of letting their kids run around. Others use it as an opportunity to teach them how to behave around others. Our boys, while we never took them to a bar, went to some restaurants and we always talked about "restaurant manners". We never had any issues. But, we never took them to really nice, expensive restaurants, although other parents did (because we used babysitters for an adult night out). All I had to do when we went out to eat was say "restaurant manners" and we had no issues. Also, I've found that parents think their kids are far cuter than strangers do lol. I've found that people who haven't been cruising as long as we have don't realize that until about 10 years ago, kids weren't allowed in the lounges at all during happy hour. I remember when it changed and it pissed off quite a few people. We heard a few in the lounge complaining loudly to the concierge.
  23. Baltimore is a port that enforces times. They make people leave the line if they're early. We're always in a JS and our boarding pass says "suite" so we use the suite/pinnacle/key line and walk right in but we do stick to our check in time (or close to it).
  24. Problem is, half the ship at least, is celebrating something. They couldn't possibly do something for everyone celebrating an anniversary, birthday, engagement, graduation, etc. You can purchase a cake, decorations and waitstaff will sing happy birthday (usually badly lol).
  25. I know a couple of people who were told they can't take it because they either have issues or are on meds that make it risky or they aren't at high risk for severe illness. It really isn't meant for everyone but currently not given to low-moderate risk individuals. Nothing is 100% perfect and there are always exceptions. About 4 years ago, there was a perfectly healthy 17 year old (vaxxed) who died from flu complications in our area.
