  1. Not directly, but what difference does it make? You think they want to shorten it and pay out OBC? People are cancelling. That's fine with me. I love a ship that isn't full.
  2. Nope. Legend leaves for a TA on 15 April. Read the email I posted. It says why they are ending it a day early.
  3. Scroll up a bit. I posted the emails for 4 and 12 April.
  4. You normally only get port fees and taxes back for a missed port. OBC is more than that. We're fine with it. There are people upset that we're missing Nassau and still going to Charleston. Charleston is much nicer lol.
  5. They are giving OBC. Read down the 12 April email.
  6. They are. We're on both it's been confirmed by email. Set Sail passes also say Norfolk which was reported before Royal sent the emails.
  7. About Your Upcoming Travels Dear Guest, We’re excited to welcome you onboard Vision of the Seas for our April 4th, 2024, sailing! Before we set sail, we have some very important updates to share with you. After the recent bridge collapse, Baltimore will not be prepared to safely embark guests on April 4th, 2024. We’re terribly sorry for the unexpected change, your safety is always our highest priority. Please see our revised Vision of the Seas April 4th, 2024, itinerary below. Check-In All guests must proceed directly to the Port of Norfolk to check-in for our cruise. All guests should be checked in and onboard by 4:00 PM. So, please arrive no later than 3:30 PM. Please see the address below. One Waterside Drive, Norfolk, Virginia, 23510 Flights & Travel Guests who booked flights and/or transfers through Royal Caribbean International that have been impacted will have arrangements rescheduled for them automatically. After exploring all options, Norfolk, Virginia was the best temporary alternate home port for Vision on the Seas. Unfortunately, we will need to shorten our cruise by one day and return to Norfolk on April 19th, 2024, instead of coming home on the April 20th, 2024. Additionally, as a result of the time and distance impact, we need to skip our visit to Nassau, Bahamas. We’re terribly sorry for the unexpected change, your safety is always our highest priority. 9. Yes, we got ours at 455 pm and others have reported and posted them on FB.
  10. Nothing in the emails mentions refunds. Carnival did't offer it.
  11. Yep as we're on both we received both emails. We are going to my Mom's in the Yorktown/NN area on Wed. We then plan to park at the Norfolk airport and catch a cab from there as there's limited port parking and we don't want to chance it. There's a chance my BIL may take us too (DS and DBIL live in Yorktown) as it's not that far and we've taken and picked them up from the airport up here a couple of times. For the 12 April it'll now be 7 days and we'll receive OBC and skip Nassau (no big deal as we've been there many time and will be on the first leg)
  12. Our set sail passes for4 April all say Norfolk now. Several people have reported it.
  13. I think they have for a few sailings, but not for a few years from what I remember.
  14. Yes. Legend has more passengers than Vision. I'm also pretty sure there are more than 1200 spots at Baltimore and the lots are routinely full or close to it.
  15. No idea how she would know when no one else does. Also, that story is a day old and we have no info from Royal yet. We're on the 4 and 12 Apr cruises.
  16. There wasn't any other traffic on the bridge except for the workers vehicles. Traffic was stopped in time. If you watch the video you can see a break in traffic by the time the ship hit.
  17. I missed that there were 8 as all I've heard the last two days is that there were 6. So, 4 under debris, possibly.
  18. They found 2 bodies today in a red pickup truck.. That leaves 2 more which they think are under the debris where they can't get without moving it. This all will not be as quick as some hope. Hope and reality are two different things. And, we're on the 4 and 12 Apr Vision cruises. Still waiting for where we'll board. We made a hotel reservation in Elizabeth, NJ today. We don't need one on the off chance it's Norfolk as my sister and mother live in Newport News.
  19. Nope. That's the rule. Doesn't matter what port it is outside of embarkation. If you do, they will confiscate it and you will get it at the end of the cruise. There will always be one or two who said they have done it, but most get caught.
  20. It's also illegal, so there's that. There are signs are you approach Baltimore about hazardous/explosive material carriers and what routes they should take.
  21. Yesterday on the news, they interviewed someone with knowledge of the depth (gov official) and he said it's 50 ft in the channel under the bridge.
  22. I've ridden across and driven across those dozens of times. Grew up in MD and have been to Ocean City, MD a lot. They never scared me. I avoid the lane facing oncoming traffic when they have it that way. It is only one bridge though that does that. They used to offer drivers for free for people who were phobic. You have to pay for the service now. I'd much rather drive myself than have a stranger do it.
