We’re on the Sun for a 9 day cruise end of June and the ship has been sold out for 2 weeks now, I will say the people that waited until 30 days after final payment saved a good sum of money.
My first 3 cruises were on the jewel and last 3 have been on bliss/encore looking forward getting back on a smaller ship.
It also depends on where you're cruising to for example our 9 day Alaska trip with 6 ports costs just over $400 each in taxes while our 7 day to Mexico with 4 ports comes in at $191 each. Alaska is just more expensive all around than just about anywhere else you'll cruise to.
I've done this excursion 3 times on NCL our tour started at 1:00 pm from the docked ship with the cruise ship leaving port at 1:30, that gave us about 2.5-3 hours at the glacier before the cruise ship showed up where we got back on the ship for the cruise out of the Fjord. This can only be booked through the cruise line. This is by far my favorite Alaskan Excursion!
Having sailed to Mexico on the bliss 4 weeks ago and having a vibe pass my first question is how long are your port stops? if they're all fairly long stops you'd probably get little use out of the vibe unless you're not getting off the ship. it was dark by 6pm so we never used it on long port days.
If it's leaving out of Seattle it's not an "inside passage" cruise, now about 30 hours after leaving Seattle you will enter the inner island passages and sail through them until your return to Seattle where you will sail back out to the Pacific on your way to Victoria BC. (last port)
Thanks, I booked this room for SIL/BIL on our Mexico new years cruise for Dec. 24' it's their first cruise and thought it would give them a little more room out there.
Has anyone stayed in an angled balcony on the joy? (12th floor) I'm wondering if the ship deck plan is correct and 12316 is an angled balcony or the other angled rooms on the ship for proper location compared to deck plan. Also shows it as a Privasea? NCL booking agent knew nothing about that.
Thank you,
Mark
We were also on this cruise look forward to the rest of your review. we went to see Six and were not impressed it's a one and done for us (along with everyone else we talked to on the ship) Jersey boys was GREAT!
We are on a cruise leaving Christmas eve from LA and Ensenada is still a stop but there are no excursions offered now, there were 6 or 8 a week ago still being offered ?
