  1. Before your Celebrity cruise try to book a test with CVS at one of their clinics in N. Miami on the way to Port of Miami.  CVS opens their appointments about 13 days in advance and there are several CVS Clinics who offer antigen tests.

Of course you would probably need to rent a car.  I suggest checking with Hertz because they will pick up at FTL and shuttle to their office and they then have a MIA office downtown on 2nd St with a shuttle to the port.

We are doing several times the back and forth Port Everglades- MIA January through March of '22 and I've been doing a lot of researching.  There are no convenient CVS tests near Pt. Everglades.

I'm also planning on having the ABBOTTS BINAX TEST NOW AG with us "just in case."

  2. I think your plan is great. We often do back to backs and then  jump from ship to ship.  Benefit to a second different cruise is that it presents different entertainment opportunities.  Plus, one night on land will allow you to visit any shops you may need to replenish your supplies.

Suggestion for your one night hotel: pack just in a carry on the things you will need for the one day in Miami so that you don't have to open the larger cases.

  3. As Royal is always looking for ways to make an additional dollar, maybe they need to sell testing on the last full day to those who are not back to back or foreign travelers who will get it free.

We are scrambling to find Rapid Tests in south Florida for January and February 2022.   We have continuous back to backs but all on different lines.  I imagine the Saturday time slots for testing will be very difficult to find.

    Fingers crossed.

  4. If you reread what Royal is saying:  That :
    "
U.S.V. I. "has plans" to require full vaccinations.  U.S.V.I. has not enacted the requirement yet; so it is possible that Royal is trying to get ahead of the execution of the plan.

So many have complained about Royal making last minute requirements; perhaps, we could give them the benefit of the doubt that they are being pro-active?

Who really knows. For the ones that have been done so far, Freedom used mostly (if not all) RCL shoreside staff, and Allure used a mix of staff, TA's, and Pinnacles. Going forward it all depends on how many test cruises remain to be done, how many Pinnacles are still left uninvited, and where the test cruise home ports. I would imagine they will go down the points list as needed to fill the required cohort of "volunteers".

On Allure's test cruise, of 600 or so guests- there were 200 Pinnacles. Specific points did not seem to matter as there were highest count Pinnacles and, also, much lower counts,

And, even though we sailed on Allure Test, we were again invited to the Independence's test sail.

  6. Just because Air2Sea has taken your money, they lag behind in actually booking the reservation.

You cannot see your info on BahamsAir until Air2Sea actually purchases the ticket.  This was a problem for me in June because I needed to be sure to get a specific seat accommodation.  Called Air 2 Sea and requested they purchase the ticket asap. Once done

    can choose seat.

  7. We registered for Allure July 27; we've just received reservation confirmation for Aug. 1, Symphony out of Miami.  Ugh.  how can Royal screw things up so badly! We would gladly do Allure, a 1.5 hour drive; but not sure about 4.5 hours to Miami for 2 days.😒

  8. They will take your picture when you check-in.

I had added out pictures on-line; but at registration they still took new ones.

I find using some of the new technology is not any better than doing things the "old-fashion" way-just as efficient.  Even when on Adventure last month I did not use the phone app and everything was just fine.

  9. I had 2 future cruise  credit certificates that were issued before covid for missing ports.                                                                                                        I applied them to a cruise that I will be canceling.  Does anyone know what will happen to the credit certificates afterward.                              I've called msc twice and neither Rep could provide an answer and referred me to send an email to Existing Reservations.

A week later and I have not receive an answer.

Anyone have any info?   Has anyone else canceled a cruise that was paid for with cruise credits?
