  1. We will be on the Grandeur in January. Our cabin is at the back of the ship. I noticed a white space there and was wondering what it could be. I am thinking it may be the crews area of getting their sheets, towels etc. for their carts. Does anyone know what it is and did you ever have a cabin in this area??

Thanks for your reply and have a great day.

  2. Hi I cannot remember the name of the person who does obstructed cabin pictures for Princess, he is so knowledgeable. I am looking at Alaska for August 2020. I know there are those of you that will know. Please help me! Thanks and have a good day.

  3. Hi, just went on Royals website to view tours for our upcoming Grandeur cruise in January. We were interested in a few.  We were wondering if we book them would the price be charged immediately to our credit card??  I thought I read somewhere a while ago that was the case. Has anyone booked their tours this way?? Should we book them for the special pre-cruise price or wait closer to our sailing date??

Thanks for your replies. Have a great day!

  4. We will be first time cruisers on Carnival and looking forward to being with family on the Miracle! I am a little confused about the seapass! When we arrive at the port we go to the customer service and sign in —Correct? Then we proceed to the security before entering the ship—is this where we get our pictures taken for ID on and off the ship?? What, then, is the set sail passes left in our mailboxes?? I know this sounds like a really confusing question but would you be kind enough to explain the boarding procedure to me??

Thanks so much, have a good day.

  5. We usually do the cruise ship transfers but we are a group of 12 and are thinking of using a private service. I have seen where SAS transportation comes highly recommended, however, are there any others that some of you may have used?? I would appreciate any help, we cruise on July 29th on the Miracle.

    Thanks for your help.

  6. I was talking to a friend whose friend cruises only on Disney. He told her that the buffet isn’t opened for dinner. We find that hard to believe because there are people who prefer buffet dining to the main dining room.

Does anyone know if the buffets are open or is my friends friend correct on this matter??

Thanks in advance for your replies.

  7. Even if you do not order a cake, just let the waitstaff know ahead of time. They will bring a little cake with a candle to the birthday person at no charge, and everyone can order dessert as they prefer. They'll probably sing too. If you indicate on your cruise info that you will be celebrating a birthday, there will probably be some other goodies - On a family cruise where several were celebrating birthdays, each of them got a bottle of wine, a spa certificate, and a free photo certificate.

Thanks for the info. If I do as you suggested, those that don’t like cake can order their dessert off the menu. Sounds good, thanks again.

  8. We have ordered cakes in the past and I agree they are just too much for two people. If there are more people to share it, it would be fine. We usually order flowers for 7+ day cruises.

There will be 12 of us 8 adults and 4 teens. It would be nice to have a birthday cake. There probably won’t be much leftover:p I think I will order one, I will ask my daughter about it.

  9. I was wondering how many of you have celebrated a birthday on a cruise? This is our first carnival cruise although we have cruised on other lines. We celebrated special occasions before and notified the dining staff of the occasion. This will be a family cruise and one of our granddaughters will be celebrating her birthday. I was thinking of ordering the birthday cake but then again was wondering what the dining staff would do once notified. Those of you in the same situation what did you do??

Thanks in advance for your posts:).

  10. I just purchased the social plan for our granddaughter who will be celebrating her birthday on the cruise. I asked her Mother before I told her it would be part of her birthday gift. I let her look at the plans and she chose the social one saying she didn’t need all the extra stuff on the other plans. She told me that she will use it at night before going to bed and of course thanked me for her gift.

    Have a good day.

  11. This will be our first cruise on Carnival :) I was wondering if you pay when you select an excursion or the wi-if package or if it goes on your seapass once on the ship? We are considering buying a wi-if package and are looking at a few excursions.

Thanks in advance. Have a good day.

  12. We are thinking of getting the social package for our granddaughter who will have her 15th birthday on the ship. We will be in Cozumel on her birthday. Would she be able to send pictures from one of their wi-if sites??

Thanks and have a good day.

  13. Our granddaughter will be celebrating her 15th birthday while on our family cruise. We were thinking of buying her the social Wi-fi package for her birthday gift. Has anyone done this package?? I know she would be excited to have it so she can get in touch with a “friend” while on the cruise.

Thanks for your thoughts and have a good day.

  14. A little help please. Our granddaughter will turn 15 the day we are in port in Cozumel. I was wondering where we could connect to wifi there. I told her for her birthday that she could connect with her friends at home. I really don’t want to buy any package on the ship since most of the family will be on the cruise. Anyone have any tips and places that we can use wifi??

Thanks and have a great day.

  15. This will be our first Carnival cruise although we have cruised 22 times. Our family of 8 adults and 4 teens will be on the Miracle in July. One couple and 2 granddaughters have never cruised before. This should be a “fun adventure”. Our granddaughter will turn 15 on the day we are in Cozumel(she is very excited). We are looking forward to making new memories on a cruise ship!!

  16. I found a camera (looked expensive) several cruises ago. I turned it into Guest Services lost and found. They took my name in case the person who lost it wanted to thank me. Every other day I would check to see if anyone picked it up the answer was always NO. I cannot imagine someone losing a camera wouldn’t want to find it. I never did hear from either the person or Guest Services. I wonder what ever happened to it.

  17. Has anyone encountered this on Princess website?? Today looked at Oct.28th Caribbean Princess and they have it listed as oceanview obstructed $1289, then when I go to do a mock booking its $1489, what gives with the difference in price?? Very frustrating!!

    Have a good day:)

  18. Me too looking to book for October, I could cancel and rebook but worried the new promo might not be worth the gratuities I would be giving up.

If you don’t mind me asking what cruise are looking for Oct. I have been looking for the 14day Oct.28th on the Caribbean Princess. The prices go up and down but the cabin we like is still available how long that is the question. It is a true 14 day.

  19. I would love to see the “3 for Free” sale!!! I am seriously thinking of booking a cruise for October with the refundable deposit and free gratuities. If a better sale comes along then either cancel or rebook.

Decisions, decisions!! Have a good day.:)

  20. We have done 7-10-15, love the longer ones and love sea days:) We have 23 cruises under our belts and this July will be a first family cruise!!! I am getting excited when I think of how the different family members will experience their first cruise!! Who knows maybe it will be the start of “family cruising vacations”! ;)

  21. Do I understand this correctly?? If I were to book a cruise under the current “sale” and choose my cabin etc. then when another “sale” comes along, I can cancel my booking and rebook to the current sale. I understand that I would loose the previous “sale” options and then have the current “sale” perks, Is this correct??

Thank you for your help. Have a great day.
