I know it was just a survey, but they're already pissing people off with the changes they have already made, I'm surprised they keep trying to see how far they can push the envelope. Like, sit the next few rounds out and chill for a minute. Let people adapt. All it does is beg the question, "What's next?"...

I don't think it's that's crazy, it's just like anything in life. People can like a product, but when that product starts changing, they can certainly be unhappy about those changes. I think the ones airing grievances are frustrated that an experience they have previously been able to count on, is changing. Doesn't mean they want to drop a brand cold turkey, there's always hoping things change back for the better (esp if the cutbacks are being blamed on covid/debt).

Since turning diamond we've always used the diamond lounge for lattes 🙂 We'll grab regular coffee anywhere else on the ship.

I used to care, but when I won an Aqua Suite, that all went out the door. Initially, I was like, oh man, I hope we like being in the very back of the ship, what a long walk, the shape of the room is weird, blah blah, blah. Then I experienced the room and honestly, if I ever get the opportunity to sail in that room again, I'll do it. I ended up loving the huge deck, being "a part" of all the shows/activities going on below, and the extra space in the room. SO...there's my reasoning. When it comes to extra space, I now know I could care less about location. We actually spend a lot of time IN the cabin, so we'll always opt for more space + suite perks when possible.

Hey there - does anyone know what a ticket costs for this attraction? Sailing there in Dec/Jan with 2/teens - it's available in my cruise planner at $115/adult which includes transportation. I know this is probably an inflated price since it's through the cruise planner, and since it's only 5 minutes from the cruise port it looks like we could easily take a taxi or maybe even walk. The company website doesn't list pricing as of yet, and I know it may be different as they reopen, just looking for an appx. price from those who have gone in the past.

Hey there, anyone who has sailed recently in this category of cabin on Mariner, where were you located and was your cabin updated? I looked through YouTube and found a couple videos from a year ago, one was updated (deck 11), one was not (deck 9). Were higher decks updated but not lower decks? Thanks for any insight, just trying to set expectations ☺️

For us personally, we're at the point where we've had to remain incredibly flexible in our dates because it's the only way I can scout out a deal that makes it worth it to me (which I understand is subjective to each person and what they decide to book). I book a suite or suite GTY when I can since it seems like the only category that doesn't deal with certain cutbacks. Specialty restaurants aren't even a maybe, they're a must, because we've had good experiences for the most part and the last thing I want is a disappointing dining experience. My point is, for us, I'm finding if we want our vacation to feel luxurious with RCI, we're having to really pay for it. Being diamond, those perks help, but it's still difficult not to get irked by cutbacks with an inflated price point. I appreciate your review from your perspective: it's okay to like a brand and still be upset by company decisions that are off-putting to the consumer.

All that great space but they sure didn't put any thought into creating a "living room" configuration, so odd to have 2 couches right next to eachother like that

I've only booked one suite GTY and had a room assignment around 2 weeks before sailing. I have another suite GTY booked for October and still waiting to see what we will get as well 🙃

Congrats! I did a promenade view once and it was a fun experience, loved being able to watch the hustle and bustle and see what was going on 🙂

Congrats on the booking -- it's so much fun having something to look forward to, but even better when it's on the type of ship you want! After I book, if it's a ship I haven't been on, I hop on YouTube and start watching videos to get acquainted with everything, helps the time pass lol 😁

When was your first cruise on Allure? I ask because we never sail in the summer in an attempt to avoid the summer crowds, wondering if you enjoyed Allure more if it happened to be during a different month. We usually sail spring/fall and it's been manageable crowd-wise. Enjoyed reading of your experience though 😀 We do like the big ships but DH and I are sailing on Mariner this October and I'm looking forward to a different class ship this time around, then it's back on Harmony in Dec with 2 teenagers (and I'm hoping they'll have plenty to do!) 🤪

By saying what exactly? DH and I work out 1x a day, then if it's a port day, shower before dinner. How is that beneath anything? It's okay I don't want to use a damp towel, why does that bother you?

Agree with the others, the North Lot is incredibly convenient. Just park and walk across the street right into the terminal!

Do you think we're unaware of this? 🤣 This is all about PREFERENCE and it's perfectly acceptable my preference isn't the same as yours.
