  1. I see on the front page 'Dance Anthems with party band Pulse' - Is dancing allowed yet?
  2. We went about 3 years ago on Aurora and I don't remember there being any shuttles to anywhere. We docked very close to where there is a concorde and walked our little feet off!
  3. I once woke up to use the bathroom in our cabin and turned the way I would have done at home - trouble is there was a metal wall in the way and I didn't half walk into it with a bang 🤕 The people in the next cabin must have had a right fright ☺️
  4. I'm not 100% sure but I imagine you would only be tested if you had covid symptoms. They do have quarantine cabins at the moment but lots could change before September I suppose. At least one person who posts on this board had to quarantine earlier this year, hopefully he/she will come along with more accurate information.
  5. But you can do the 'groundwork' beforehand and set up your account and then it is exactly the same. I used to enter my results and scan the code into the NHS system. I have absolutely no problem with anyone doing a trial run and was just trying to put over how simple the Randox system is and if you could test using the NHS system there is no difference using the Randox one. If you're happy to buy two tests to do one job then that is up to you - I'd rather spend the £11 on a couple of cocktails 😉 🍸
  6. Can you not only book tables for a maximum of 4 people using the app - not sure, I left it to others😲 As others have said a visit to the Maitre D would be your best bet.
  7. Just to add, I can understand having a Randox test in reserve just in case the one you have isn't complete or gives an inconclusive result. No-one would want to be running around the day before trying to find somewhere else to get a test done but don't waste it just to see how to do it - its identical to the NHS ones.
  8. Sorry but I still don't understand trail running a Randox test using an LFT kit which is identical to the old NHS ones and has cost upwards of £11 each. The method of use is the same, as is scanning/photographing the QR code. The system at Randox has been running for a while - our certificate came back in three minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't even looked at by a human but just a setting on the system that automatically sends the message if the test says negative! Also, P&O no longer say 24hours before, they changed that pretty quickly, it is anytime the day before. Hope that helps.
  9. Have a really lovely time...................that cabin looks great by the way!
  10. I think terrierjohn means do an NHS test before your 'official' one rather than pay for two Randox ones (other tests are available 😉)
  11. I'm getting really fed up with people moaning about the price of things.£1.25 for a cup of tea, £1.50 for a coffee, £2.00 for a slice of cake, £2.50 for car parking. Honestly if I hear any more complaints I'm going to stop inviting my friends round 😉
  12. I'm pleased to see a couple of posts from people who have just returned from a cruise on Azura, abd even more pleased to see they have been at least a bit more positive about their holidays. To be honest, I have been really worried our cruise in 4 weeks but not much can be done when the balance has been paid. Can I please ask, it was previously mentioned that masks have to be worn even when seated at a table unless having a sip of your drink - please tell me this isn't the case 😕
  13. It's the day before embarkation.
  14. We did a worldie after of doing just a couple of shorter cruises! We did it on Aurora (our first time on that ship) and in an inside cabin. I would have happily stayed on board in Southampton and gone round again, obviously that would be after shopping in Southampton for some bigger clothes 😭
  15. Each to their own again though wowzz. I would have never have done a 'worldie' by air as I hate flying with a passion. Also, you get the chance to see lots of places and do have the option to go back and spend more time in any that you really like, on the other hand you can quickly leave any you're not too happy about!
  16. You need Randox Lateral Flow Test at home - UK. £13.50 - £12.00 with a code or £11 collected
  17. Hi Lisa, I hope lots of people will come along and offer you tips but we all have our own favourite ships, preferred cabins etc, etc. The cabins in the middle of the ship are usually considered to be the best - around deck 8 or 9 - but personally I don't mind a cabin higher up or more towards the back or the front! Your choice of ship is also very subjective - Iona is great if you have kids with you or like to have lots of choice of places to dine. We were on Iona last week and she wouldn't be our first choice again - she was far too big and 'young' for us. Our preference would be the adult only Aurora but most passengers on there would be older adults like ourselves. So if you are in you 30's for instance, you may find it more boring! Which cabin to choose is another problem you have 🙂 I would rather have six cruises in an inside cabin than one in a suite but if budget isn't a concern then go for it - you only live once. We did a world cruise in an inside cabin and it wasn't a problem for us at all - it would have been other peoples idea of hell though. Just beware cruising is additive, our friends used to tell us they'd never cruise - they came once and are hooked. We book both select and saver prices depending on any offers available at the time. A lot depends on how important cabin location/choice is to you. Good luck and I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever you choose, hopefully by next year mask wearing and testing will be ancient history 🙂
  18. If you google lots come up - don't know whether they still work though. There were lots of codes when you needed a fit to fly to come back to England but they may not still be valid. I just found HD10OFF you could try that.
  19. Has anyone said why masks are required on Azura but not on other ships - other than the theatre?
  20. I said, only last night, to my husband that after our Azura cruise in June I don't want to book any more until things are more normal. The thought of wearing a mask even if just sitting chatting to our friends in the bar horrifies me 😲
  21. I'm getting concerned about our cruise in just over four weeks. I don't want to be wearing a mask indoors when just chatting - it was farcical on Iona wearing it in the theatre when you could sit as close to anyone, anywhere else on the ship and not wear it! We moved our cruise to Azura from a Baltic cruise and we're thinking now we were a bit hasty.
  22. Yes we did, we collected locally and paid £11 (I think) you can have them delivered for a bit extra. They can only be used though if you have the app so just check first that you can download it from the app store. Hope that helps.
