Did you take the paid ferry to Hamilton from the Dockyards? We usually are opposed to paying for food outside the ship, but when we are on the Joy next June, I think we are going to spring for lunch at the Swizzler Inn as we will be a group that includes young adult children and nephews and their significant others and some of them will be looking for food as your LM.

My husband and I are Platinum and did not realize this either. Thank you for posting this information.

I am so happy for you and your dad that the excursion was not cancelled again and you got to go. After reading your positive review and looking at your pictures, I am glad I booked it for our Jewel cruise next month. My husband has no idea that NCL even offers this excursion so it will be a real surprise for him.

It comes out to $315. How much is the total for the van and will it fit everyone or are you using two vans? I am having trouble finding a decent rate to get 13 of us to the port next year leaving from Holtsville and/or Islip. Otherwise, we will be three cars which will be $945 with this year's prices which, to me, is a lot. ,

Definitely the ten night Joy! One of our Joy cruises last year was a five night Bermuda from New York. While we had a wonderful time, we would not do it again. We are scheduled for another seven night Bermuda cruise on the Joy next year so it was not because of the ship or Bermuda.

Port: Any port in Bermuda (have docked at The Dockyards, Hamilton and St. George) Ship: Escape Cabin: Haven Penthouse Suite on the Joy Note: We have only sailed on the larger ships for the past couple of years and have only done the Caribbean and Bermuda runs. However, we are sailing a smaller ship (the Jewel) taking our first Alaskan cruise next month so maybe our favorites will change.

The Manhattan Room required pants for men on the Epic in March; however the Joy did not when we were on her last September. I still say a nice pair of dress shorts is a nicer look than torn jeans and sweats, but that is my opinion.

I did not realize this could be done. I thought the only way to have excess to another cabin in your group was to be carrying around the additional key card. Good to know as I have been toying with the idea to change our reservations on the Joy next June so we could benefit from two additional Platinum vouchers and an additional $100 shareholders OBC by switching out my husband (platinum) and adult son (gold).

Are you loving the Spirit more than the Jewel? I know how much you love the Jewel and her crew.

We were on the Joy twice last year. The first time I fell asleep during Footloose then we skipped it the next time we were on her. Loved, loved, loved all of the Beatles shows. Really enjoying reading your updates.

Just looked on the webcam to see if it was raining and happy to see it isn't as it was just pouring out here at Exit 63 LIE. Have a great sail away! And we loved the OL too on the Joy. It is also a nice place to hang out at night.

Yes, the pastrami burger is custom order. We were able to order it that way on the Joy last year and on the Epic this past March.

But it is still two meals for two, correct?

That would be wonderful news if they went back to the old way of cooking them.
