We were in a deck 10 aft suite on the Pearl in April. No charge for room service breakfast. The deck 8 and 9 aft suites are listed as "some with butler service."

38 years in the classroom. I can only travel when children are also traveling, so the Haven gives a LITTLE more of a break from kids. Tried one Crystal when they first started up after Covid and didn't like the vibe.

I believe Willowbank does not serve any alcohol on their property if that's important to you.

I noticed that too in the Haven Restaurant at lunch. My husband suggested they were double ground. Too soft for my liking.

Flanagan's in the Emporium Building on Front St.

"Lounge chair in a quiet spot." During summer sailings on Norwegian, I have only found this in the Haven.

The only thing I'd warn you about is the "hard sell" they do for products at the end. Doesn't matter if you tip extra at the beginning to avoid it or tell the massage therapist exactly what you will purchase at the end. I've stopped doing massages on cruises because it's so unpleasant having to say "no" politely so many times and usually much more assertively again.

When I had them, they only had supplies for dessert/sweet crepes.

A lot of food sounded good in the description but was hugely underwhelming.

I know food is so subjective, but I though it wouldn't hurt to ask. Last cruise I tried the chicken from the always available side, chicken or eggplant parm, and the flounder. The only one I enjoyed was the chicken. The flounder was hard and seemed frozen. Same thing with the chicken or eggplant. What should I branch out and try next cruise. Thank you for your opinions!

In April we stayed in the deck 10 aft penthouse. We had all the perks except using the Haven pool and sundeck. Deck 10 aft has the deepest and biggest balconies out of the aft penthouses. Deck 8 aft penthouses are located above an entertainment venue, so you may want to be careful bidding on the aft penthouses.

Anyone recently notice crepes in the buffet at dinner times? Thank you!

The cashiers on the Pearl last week knew nothing about this.

Can only speak for the Pearl, but in port no sit down restaurant was open except O'Sheehan's/The Local outside of the Haven.

Post Covid and with NCL's reclassifications of cabins, anyone sail recently in one of the deck 15 suites and know current perks? Thank you!

We have an aft suite. Just curious what the view from the balcony will be when we board and at sailaway.

I would double check to see if the Star has a private deck. I've been on her sister Dawn and there isn't one.

I've read on CC that only a percentage of specialty reservations open up pre boarding. Check with your concierge right away if you're in the Haven or head straight off to reservations (often a table in the buffet) right when you board.

Me too! It was a great alternative to NCL.

On some of the older ships, there are suites which enjoy MOST Haven benefits - priority embark and disembark, butler, concierge, private restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The deck 10 aft suites on the Gem and Pearl are an example. We just can't use the Haven courtyard or sun deck. DH and I are sailing in one over April school break and it was around 5K for us with the drink package, 2 specialty meals, and some OBC.

I second choosing the Haven - make sure to get a nice big balcony - and upgrade your dining to eat at the specialty restaurants. Maybe watch some videos of the ships on you tube to see what layout and decor most appeals to you.
