  1. We were in one of the non Haven aft penthouse suites (10164) last April and we were taken to the Haven lounge in the terminal to wait for an escort onto the ship.
  2. As of last July, the Pearl aft penthouses on deck 10 had the small "sofa" that can be made into a bed.
  3. Oh, that is a sad cioppino for an upcharge.
  4. I think you can ask for it without the liver. Husband and I both did the second time we ate at Le Bistro.
  5. As of last July on the Pearl, they had not implemented the new Haven lunch menu I had seen posted and was looking forward to, but they did have Pavlova (is that the dessert with the berries?)
  6. It is VERY steep on Burnaby St in Hamilton to get to the Hog Penny. I would also recommend Flanagan's on Front St. It's only 2 or 3 storefronts away from where you'd take the turn onto Burnaby St in the Emporium Building. Elevator up to 2nd floor and it features outside dining too!
  7. I didn't enter mine either and we were approved.
  8. I second Chatham House in Hamilton. Where my Dad would always get them. Thanks for the sweet memory this morning.
  9. Anyone know if there's a hot tub up there? Thanks!
  10. Go to the famous G search engine. Search term let's say NCL Dawn aft and then click images. You might find something that way.
  11. My 7 day cruise is 2 specialty meals per person with the free at sea. Longer cruises may offer more free meals.
  12. Mid April it was a nightmare of about an hour and half, mostly outside the building, to where they checked vaxx card and travel authorization. Upstairs was the metal detector and only after that was there Haven check in and Haven waiting area. Somewhere on CC last week I read that the procedure/wait times in Boston had been much improved.
  13. Was on Pearl in mid April. The biggest change I noticed in the breakfast menu was the quality in the cut of beef served with the steak and eggs. I never order this, so I don't remember the exact name, but it used to be a more tender cut that was served. Still a much nicer selection of fruit available at suite breakfast than in the MDR or buffet. I was disappointed in the lunch menu. There used to be a fish sandwich and still is, but it has been changed and is rather dry. The texture of the new crab cake appetizer was really cat foody like. Texture of the burger was odd too - very soft. DH thought maybe it was double ground beef. Two things I had seen on a recent Haven lunch menu from a ship which had a dedicated Haven restaurant, but the Pearl did not were Cobb salad and lobster bisque. Cobb salad is available at O'Sheehan's if you're particularly looking for that. Chicken milanese which has been a staple for a while on the suite lunch menu was available in the MDR one day. There was a mushroom flatbread pizza I remember. A soup of the day. The MDRs were not open for lunch on port days, so if you are underwhelmed by Haven lunch options, your only choices are buffet and O'Sheehan's and I'm not a buffet person. Maybe have lunch in a port restaurant one day to break it up. That's what we did.
  14. There is a really recent video on YouTube that confirms amenities and shows you your suite. Look for ncl pearl deluxe owner's suite.
  15. Thanks for the rec! We enjoy tapas and will be there in July. About how far down Front St? Or do you remember what stores it was near?
  16. If you're in Hamilton, Flanagan's on the 2nd floor of the Emporium building on Front St has balcony dining overlooking the harbor.
  17. I was on Pearl 4/15. Day 6 I started with the cough. Day after disembarkation I had deep coughing, sore throat. Long story short, any time pre Covid phenomena I went through a huge change in temp and humidity, I'd get an upper respiratory infection being a smoker with COPD. Long story short, 6 negative Covid tests and 4 weeks later, got bronchitis from 78 and humid in Bermuda to 38 in Bar Harbor. Maybe that accounts for some of the symptoms you're seeing on the Pearl.
  18. Hmm. It wasn't a "swim against " on the Gem which is a sister ship.
  19. They used to rent amazing daybeds there too so you could spend most of the day and not fry. I hope an umbrella came with those chair rentals for $75.
  20. Agree with insidecabin. I found a recent Haven lunch menu from Google and was kind of excited about the lobster bisque and Cobb salad, but it wasn't the same menu the Pearl offered in April this year.
  21. Curious too as we sail in July Hopefully not.
  22. On Pearl 4/15 and our experience was the opposite. Had ribeye and delmonico one time, filet mignon and baked another. Lobster bisque both times. It's not Capital Grill, but I enjoyed both meals. Not a big fan of the new Le Bistro menu. It's more artsy food now, although the quality was still good.
  23. Any specific questions? We returned 4/22.
  24. If you can access youtube, search Gem ship tours and look for the year the video was posted. You may even find a tour of your specific cabin if you're interested.
