I signed us up for the travel pass tonite for our trip in 2 weeks - just keep in mind the "Internet " access on the ship wont carry over to the Island so if you want internet access on the ship you will need to either take it as a perk or purchase it, There IS the ships internal wifi but thats a different animal too!!

Does anyone know about how bad FB just to get on and message someone would be ? OR messaging apps that are like FB messaging? My sons understand to disconnect but you know how 21 year olds are , They HAVE to message the girlfriends at least 2 times a day or they will DIE!!! We already have on Bermuda covered but need for on the ship

The proof is in the deck plans that clearly show they sleep 4 when they don't. There is an issue and NCL should deal with it. They need to update their deck plans and they should work with her to find a reasonable solution too.

i VERY much agree with this!! The 2 br cabin I have in August - the room says it holds 6 - but when I called to add 1 more(we had 5 originaly) we were denied ..

Great questions. As for pictures of the hallway, it depends on how much the "Haven Police" are monitoring the doors to that area. I will try, and if I get caught, I will blame Cruise Critic for why Im there. :p

Deck 14 isnt in the "Haven" per se -

I guess the Captain sailing into a storm is excusable on RCCL but an on deck fight that may or may not be witnessed by OP? hmmmm

It is fine to keep a signature, but there are ways to make it MUCH smaller so others don't have to see it take up half a page several times, especially in a thread like this where you respond multiple times.

 

The folks with obnoxiously long signatures come off as braggadocios. The point of the signature is to assist people in knowing where you have been, but it isn't necessary to let it run on and on in large font which makes it annoying when you have to scroll past a long half page signature trying to find relevant content. For example Mahatma has a particularly long signature with excessive spacing and repetitive information which currently looks like this:

 

 

This signature could easily be trimmed to this much more reader friendly format:

 

 

The revised signature conveys the same information without taking up lots

f valuable screen real estate.

A similar bottle of water would be INCLUDED in the beverage package on all their competitors at no additional cost!

That is correct Suites on non haven ships and Haven guests do NOT pay the 18%

The OP is in a Haven room there fore NO 18% .

I believe it is ala cart pricing not cover charge - i saw it for booking for my next Dawn trip

Not sure I understand why you wrote an "open" letter to NCL here on CC but that aside it certainly begs the question why not just make it right NCl. Did you ever get anything in writing that you would be compensated ? I hope so! best of luck !

It is a bar BUT during the day I saw many children coming aboard for the plank jump , when we were there last year there was a big slide also but it looks like its gone now . I "think " it would be ok but keep in mind its a very small area and if there is someone out of control not sure you want your 10 yo around that - When we were there there was no party but we may have been there the wrong days, I

Not sure which 7 nt cruise you used as an example but to compare apples to apples we need to look at 7 nt cruises from FLL/MIA as those are the ports Celebrity sails from.

 

NCL Getaway is doing an 8 nt Christmas cruise on the 18th so that's not a fair comparison.

 

By default we must use the Escape 12/17 7nt Eastern Caribbean.

BF balcony with Beverage and 3nt dining packages (plus the service fees) is $2692.60 total for two..

 

By comparison the Celebrity Reflection on 12/17 7nt Western Caribbean

2D balcony with GoBetter Classic beverage package and $300 OBC per cabin $2472.00 total for two.

GoBetter is currently at GoBig price.

We are going Aug. 21st - 2 reasons for us (or at least my husband and I ) 1. we are anticipating TONS of kids ? just a guess .. and . we tried to add my niece to our 2 br suite (we have a total of 5 in there now) but were told that even though the rooms say 6 it really is 5 so she got a solo cabin, so I wanted a place we could all hang since I cant bring her into the haven areas -

It's a possibility. ;) We have one booked for next month. :D

I actually considered booking this again to Bermuda just to see the changes. But I know there have been a lot of complaints on social media since the refurb (ship not finished, things not working, and especially complaints about the plumbing...including toilets not working in cabins) and decided I would hold off and booked something else instead. :(

We are going Oct 7th on the Dawn - hopefully things will be straightened out by then.. I always hear to not go on a ship right out of Dry Dock ..

By the way Kim... Would LOVE to stalk you again on a cruise! :D and am looking forward to your trip review next month!!!

Yes that does stink!! We are also in a Haven in August and my niece is in a solo - was hoping that it would work but apparently not

do ALL of the people wanting a pass to Vibe have to be there? or can I buy the 3 for the people in my party and have them come back to the desk afterward?

This is a very funny thread.. Why it should matter to anyone how another person chooses to dress is unbelievable! I am on vacation! If I do choose to dress up I will if I choose to not then that is my right!!! That is precisely why I love the newer more relaxed standards in cruising now. Even the mouse has relaxed on the "dress code" except for 2 "adult" only venues there.

Now do I want to see some hoochie mama hanging out all over? Nope but I have seen some dressed to the nines people that have apparently never looked in a mirror much less worn deodorant. and as for wearing shorts - hell yes!!! I live in Northern NH and the time that we are able to wear them is short!!! So I wear them every chance I can (except to dinner)
