  1. Can’t wait to follow along on another trip. Stay healthy. If you’re sick, stay out of the office. I just went and had a flu shot and the new Covid booster because we just started basketball season and I’m going to be in a school for the next three months. We aren’t sailing anywhere until February after my HS basketball season ends. I’ll be living vicariously through everyone until then.

  2. I chose 2:00PM for our embarkation time. We are non rockstars. This is our third time sailing from San Juan. Yes you can drop off luggage earlier and enjoy the city. We’ve done it both times we sailed previously. We head down and grab some last minute items from the store, have breakfast and then work our way to the ship. It’s the most chill embarkation you will have.

  3. We are trying VV in February out of San Juan. Looking forward to a change of pace. I’m not as far along as some in loyalty, but we are close to Platinum with Carnival. We booked this for the itinerary more than anything but we’re excited to try something different. We have been on HAL, Royal as well as my better half being on Disney and Princess.

I'm on the 2/3 Valiant sailing and was able to access the app today, and select my embarkation time.

Only thing currently messed up is that my cabin is showing as GTY when I already had a great cabin selected when the sailing was on Brilliant. I've emailed my TA to look into it, I thought we were supposed to have everything stay the same with the move to Valiant.

I was able to see my booking now. My TA was able to get us on the same deck just on the port side vs the starboard side. All good. Now to find airfare that isn’t $1,000 from Cleveland to San Juan.

  5. Our last cruise cruise, before we took a little pause from cruising, was on the Magic. The reason we decided to take a break was that we didn't have the best time on that sailing. We were booked for this trip right when they raised capacity to full. They were so understaffed and it was incredibly noticeable. The food wasn't good, the service was terrible. We decided after that to take a sabbatical. We are willing to give it another shot as we have a cruise booked on her in September 2024. I think I may move off of that cruise and move to something later in the year.

  6. We sailed twice from San Juan on the Victory and the Liberty. We just booked on another cruise line from San Juan for February on a different line. I'm excited to cruise on a ship with no kids and see how it goes. The itinerary has numerous ports that we haven't been to yet. I think Carnival is missing a chance to provide the opportunity to its passengers the option for diverse ports. Sailing to Nassau, Grand Turk and Amber Cove isn't exactly "Caribbean". We will see how it goes.
