We did ours this morning because we are leaving Sunday. The new stresses of cruising. It was worth it and I need to pack now.

Leaving on the Glory Sunday. Can’t wait to be back on a ship. We were on the Glory back in 2006 and I’m excited to see the new look. I’ve read a few reviews on another app from people who got off this week and they loved it. No one had a bad thing to say about their experience.

Just checked and Key West is still listed for our April 2022 Dream cruise. It may well disappear if FL does not prevail on KW to accept cruise ships. Perhaps their vendors on the island that live off cruise ships may get it overturned. I have been there several times over the years so no big loss. Last time we had a cruise to KW and ports beyond, the port was canceled at the last minute due to high winds possibly pinning the ship to the pier and not enough tug power available to free the ship. We received a small FCC along with returned port fees which many of us used to promptly book another cruise.
The residents and vendors were pretty much in lockstep with this vote. It wasn't necessarily a close vote when the issue came up. Never say never but it seems unlikely the residents will voluntarily reverse this unless mandated by the courts.

I’m all caught up and ready to live vicariously through you. VV sounds like a cluster up to this point. I hope it gets better.

That was also the itinerary for our Horizon cruise in November. Now have HMC, GT and Bimini. Not happy, but understand Carnival has little choice. Just glad to be cruising again.
Bimini, to me would be a bummer but we love HMC and I’m good with GT. I’m just happy to be going in two weeks. I’ll go anywhere.

Our Glory cruise from New Orleans was to have stopped at Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. The change has been made to Belize, Mahogany Bay and Cozumel instead. Love Grand Cayman but will make it work with the other ports.

I thought the Glory was in New Orleans housing the hurricane victims but not 100% sure this is accurate.
The Glory is back cruising. First sailing was yesterday.

Happy to read this as well as other “live from” reviews. This is getting us ready for our cruise on the Glory in 4 weeks. Love the detail and the information.

I don’t have a travel agent partly because I haven’t done the research to find one that I’m comfortable with. Maybe I should become one. I can sell vacations and views since I already have my real estate license. I have used the same PVP for years and she has been great to work with. She hooks me up and has been able to get me price drops and deals that I wouldn’t have seen.

We were notified about a month and a half ago about our itinerary change for our Oct 17th cruise in the Glory.

Always enjoy reading your reviews. This is helping getting us ready for our Glory cruise in 4 weeks. Great job. Glad you are back onboard.

I look forward to finding my new favorite in a few weeks on the Glory. This will be the first time we have Cheers. We plan on putting it to use.

We bought stainless straws and silicone straws for our trips. Have to remember to bring them off of our boat before we leave. Our tiki bar now only serves small straws if not paper as well.

Sent my stock statement in 2 weeks ago for our April Magic cruise and received the OBC in about a week. Doesn’t matter what you paid for the cruise. Shareholder credit is applied regardless.

Yes, like SNJ said...or your room steward....or the person you saw constantly wiping down the bannisters when taking the stairs. Or the 1000's of other behind the scenes people who work their asses off to make every thing you do, to make sure you have a most enjoyable experience. Right down to the lowly pizza guy, not to mention the bus boys in the buffet area.
A better option would be to go to Guest Services on the last night, and tell them you'd like to put that $200 towards tipping everyone, both front line, and the people behind the scenes "a little extra" for their effort.
I’m using the bartender as an example but thank you for clarifying.

So let’s say it’s the last night and I have $200 of OBC left. Could I leave a $200 tip for my favorite bar tender even though I have cheers?

I’m all caught up and enjoying yet another great review. I’m locked in.

I’ll be back soon to post the fun times and I have a lot of videos I’ll post On Instagram or YouTube and link on this thread.
Then seven weeks from today I’m on panorama for a Halloween themed cruise. I’m going to have $1000 OBC so we’ll be doing all the specialty restaurants, excursions, everything. Then five weeks after I get back from that I’m on Vista for a Christmas themed cruise.
a lot more fun to come this year.
Great review Greg. I had a lot of catching up to do once I saw it on Instagram. Always a great adventure traveling with you. Hopefully our Glory cruise on Oct 17th is a go. It’s been too long. Great job.

I agree with the OP in post #1. I have had Covid. I know I got it from being in school 5 days a week with students. I was not one of the people who were asymptomatic. I was in a bed for almost two weeks with one run to the hospital. My concern isn’t necessarily about me getting Covid again, and I probably should be worried about it, but my concern is if there is an outbreak not involving me, how is that handled and how does that affect the rest of my vacation. Do we miss the rest of the ports and head back? Are we quarantined in our staterooms? That’s my concern with having it be a free for all. I have a few cruises booked but will take a wait and see as to how issues are handled.

And trust me if we need to use the exit doors.
it’s going to be all on me. The couple next to me ain’t helping with anything. He’s still in his pajamas with his slippers on. She may be as well. She’s wrapped in a blanket with the neck pillow and the eye mask...the whole bit.
At least their shoes are on.

I'm glad dinner was finally good because the food hadn't appeared to be amazing yet. Being in sun and on the beach cures a lot but if the food is average, that would be a big negative. Do you find yourself wanting more entertainment yet?

Just finished E Med testing...important!
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Yeah. Sitting in the ER and having an ER doc with no bedside manner give me those results was less than ideal. This test? No big deal at all. I just want to be able to go because it is so important to my wife.
