Y’all, this is FUN
I love it when it's a little nautical. Or a lot. Shoot we sleep on a boat for a bunch of the summer. I like a little rockin and rolling.

This is one of the big reasons that we love Conquest Class ships. Deck 3 promenade is a great place to escape. Also like the stadium seating around the pool. Just a well thought out ship. This has been a great trip so far. Enjoying reading this.

Really enjoying all the pictures of the different areas.
First time on the Glory and will be looking for ‘our settling spots’.Can’t decide which drink to try first.
There's only one answer.

If you walk down past the pirate ship you can find loungers that have some shade. There are a few trees down there providing shade. That's where we ended up partially because the farther you walk from the dock, the less crowded it will be.

We need to try Lucy's the next time we go to the French Quarter. I miss New Orleans.

Here for it. We love the Glory as well. It's our favorite class of the Carnival ships.
My better half is getting on the Conquest in two weeks with her girlfriends because one of them is a teacher and that will be her break week. I could use it after a long HS basketball season but she's going instead.

Here for the snark and 12 nights of fun.

Loved this side by side review. I agree completely that anything less than 7 days isn't nearly long enough. We have to fly wherever we are going so to do that for less than a week just isn't worth it.

Pre-Cruise Hotel Info:
So…..let me just say upfront that I hate Miami. It’s a beautiful port to sail away from with that awesome skyline, but other than that, I despise it. I have already decided that this is our last time sailing from there, UNLESS a kick butt itinerary that I just cannot turn down opens up. With MG and Vista homeporting in Port Canaveral, which is way closer to us, we will be choosing sailings from there. Miami just makes me alcoholism kick into high gear. Day 1 of the cruise may be my “max out the Cheers package” day.
ANYWAY…we have never really found a hotel we care about down in good old Miami. The closest we came was the Hampton Inn that we stayed at before our Vista B2B in 2017, they had excellent customer service, but the location left a lot to be desired. So, each cruise from there we have bounced to different hotels. This time around I had a hard time finding a hotel with a park & cruise package that had rooms available for our date needed…I guess because I kept procrastinating on looking for one. I finally found Hilton Miami Downtown, and although the price made me choke ($592) I booked it. Good gravy, that is 1.5 months worth of truck payments on Rammit! With prices like this, it’s no wonder I freaking hate Miami. The location may be cool tho, if we make good time on our travel day maybe we can walk around. We shall see!
We have always flown in day of when leaving from Miami but with flights so unpredictable now we will be needing a hotel for our next cruise. $592 makes me cringe.

We did a drift snorkel in Bonaire that was family run. It was amazing. They were so nice and professional. We also agree about Jack's Shack. The bartenders were indifferent to the customers. Heaven forbid you want the free shot of rum. It's the nicest part of the beach so we will still stroll that way because Margaritaville is just too crowded for me. Use it for what it's good for. Enjoying all of Patti's pics.

I wish I was in St. Maarten today! Have a great time!
Same. I wish St Maarten and St Thomas were back to being regular ports on 7 day sailings.

This may or may not be the last "big Live Review" for me, or who knows, I may change my mind at some point down the line. Either way, this one has definitely been one for the ages, and I spent a whole lot more time "on vacation" than I have in years.
Thanks to all of you who followed along on this wild and crazy ride. We've got one more long day tomorrow, and then it's back to the 'ol salt mine for me on Monday...
Thank you all again for being here.........
I always thoroughly enjoy your "Lives". You have a gift of the written word and the realness that makes it a must follow. Love a little irreverence. Safe travels tomorrow.

All caught up. Ready to follow along. The Conquest class ships are my favorite. Love the stadium seating near the main pool. Never seems crowded. Looking forward to the rest of your review.

Sadly, Topher passed several years ago, and Jack and Janet have retired and moved back to Canada. The new owners have retained the name for obvious reasons, and they fixed the place up nicely. The food is still good, but the bar staff leaves a lot to be desired. Very inattentive, looking at their phones, and you practically had to beg for a drink, even when they weren't busy. That never would have happened with Jack sitting there. Don't know if we'll go back. 😎
I totally agree with this. It's not the same and we may turn right and head to the whale next time.

I am currently having the same issue. I loved my old PVP but she retired. The new PVP that was assigned to me is useless. I had to prompt her through what should be routine questions regarding my booking. Dining times, bed configuration, transportation etc. She tells me she can't keep an eye out for better deals on our booking. I miss Phyllis. Considering a TA but I've heard of some bad TA encounters as well. I'll just do my own for now.

Luggage Tag Color Changed
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
We printed my wife's a month or so before and they were green. When she was able to check in and print the boarding passes they were switched to red also. She was port, aft on the Conquest two weeks ago.
