  1. We have taken some nice trips most of which are within a day's drive. South Dakota in 2021, South Florida twice, Tennessee and North Carolina in 2022. This spring we have South Florida, Orlando and Tennessee/North Carolina planned. Hopefully you will get some more trips in this next year to the places you want to see.
  2. I think the fire and ice refers to hot stone massage for the fire and cooling lotion for the ice. It seems that the polish is included. Where I live a dip manicure is $35.00.
  3. For a cruise I would schedule my mani/pedi the week before I go. For my pedicure I get regular polish and it lasts a good month. For my manicure I get the dip powder and it looks good for two weeks and not bad for another week if I have to let it go that long. I wouldn't get it done on the ship - it is a lot more money. I also am not sure of the quality of work but I am very picky about my nails.
  4. I may have to get someone to give me a synopsis. Bad weather is coming and our dish doesn't like bad weather.
  5. We don't have anything booked and I am still hesitating because of protocols since we would want to do a Panama Canal cruise and I think there are still protocols in place. Now I hear about the scramble to get a check in time (in the past we would just show up when we were ready), booking restaurants and shows (we liked my time dining and showing up when we were hungry), we liked to see a show if we were in the mood but not have to have reservations. We have never liked the last morning having to get off the ship early. So now I just really don't know if cruising is for us anymore. I like to plan but wow not this much. Sea days are somewhat easier but port days I wouldn't know how tired I would be in the evening, when I would want to eat, or if I would want to see a show. I don't like Southwest airlines because of the having to get online to get a good boarding time. I don't want to have to do it for a cruise. Now I am sad because I really thought in time we would cruise again but now I am not so sure.
  6. That is Brrrrrr! When it is in the 50s I am wearing at least pants, long sleeves/sweater and probably a jacket. If it is wet and windy add gloves.
  7. Yup. That is cold. Here is it very foggy, yet again. The temperature is 61F. I will be bringing out the sweaters and coats next weekend. It will get down to 54F highs and 34F lows. Brrr. It will feel like Christmas, however.
  8. I don't know what -4 translates to but it sounds cold. Will keep you in my thoughts for a quick, easy time tomorrow.
  9. Along with my Maine Coons I have 2 tabby cats. Elmer is the heart of our family. He loves everyone, especially my husband. He demands to be wet combed if you are in the bathroom. Storm just moved in one day. He is my snuggle cat at night and has the best purr. Your Princess Ninkasi was meant to be with you and as time goes by you will know why.
  10. Currently the CDC is estimating that 118-328 persons a day are dying of flu.
  11. It is if you don't want to get sent to medical for a test!
  12. @HBE4Thank you for posting and letting us know you are okish. So very sorry about the loss of your wife. The pictures of your family are wonderful.
  13. Thank you. Most are homemade. I made some and my mother made others. Two of my dear friends who knit also contributed.
  14. When I was little the Dr. prescribed coke syrup for me if I had stomach upsets. Mom would get it at the soda fountain in the pharmacy. It worked like a charm and to this day if I get nauseous a flat coke still works. If I had to get a shot at the Dr. Mom would take me to the same soda fountain for a sundae. They also had a candy aisle in the pharmacy and sometimes I would get a nickel to pick out some penny candy.
  15. They haven't done that. Annabel has decided to get a few of the ornaments to bring to bed each night. We may put the xpen around it to keep her out. We only put the non-breakables on this year. I put a lot of the breakable ones in the clear jars. None of the other cats pay any attention to the tree. At least Annabel isn't climbing into the tree which is what I was worried about.
