  1. Moving right along. Annabel has learned to use the cat door. It leads to a pen with a solid wooden cat tree. Unfortunately, she has only learned the out part and has not figured out the in part. I spent a lot of time today sticking my hand thru the door to try to show her how it works. We are both tired now. LOL
  2. We have been to Alaska. It was cold when we were cruising to the glacier! I have a hat and a cowl (which does not cover my nose) that I wear.
  3. I live in Florida. Never gets that cold. Even when I have lived in a cold climate I never put a scarf over my nose. As a child when I would hide under the covers I made sure my nose was not covered.
  4. Wearing a mask ruins any activity for me. All I can think about is when I can take it off. I absolutely hate having my nose covered by anything. I wore one when required back in 2020 but have not had to in almost 2 years now. I am not willing to pay to be tortured by being on a ship and unable to leave when suddenly having them be required. I am very happy to be retired and not have had to work during this time.
  5. I think I will wait to see if the "winter surge" changes protocols. Like I said it would completely ruin a cruise for us having to wear a mask at any point. Plus, the next cruise we want to take is a Panama Canal and I think they still have testing or vaccination requirements along with some ports require masks. Until then I will enjoy hearing about everyone else's cruises and enjoy our land trips.
  6. Thanks. Trying to gauge when we can think about booking again. I would like to cruise but don't want to have to wear a mask at any point in the trip. I guess we will wait till sometime next year or longer to be sure. I have seen a few posts on some of the other lines of masks being required part way through the cruise.
  7. Prime time here is 7-10. Would not be able to stay awake for anything starting at 10. Jeopardy is at 6 so we watch during dinner. I knit so it gives me 3 hours of knitting each night. Plus, any down time during the day. Although during the day I tend to embroider, spin or weave.
  8. I wish they hadn't put it between Survivor and Amazing Race. Now I have to find something else to watch for that hour. It work out so much better for me if Survivor was at 7, Amazing Race was at 8 and then I could watch Big Sky at 9.
  9. I got them on the same day. My flu shot arm was slightly sorer then the C booster but by the next day not sore either arm and just a little tired.
  10. You can't really blame people. For three years we have been inundated with messages of fear of our fellow man. Add to that the dehumanizing effects of wearing masks and it will take years for people to remember how to smile and make eye contact with others again.
  11. I watched the Love Boat simply because it was a bridge between Survivor and Amazing Race. Meh. I knit so it wasn't wasted time. Please for the love of God - if you go on Amazing Race learn to drive a stick before you go. You know they will make you at some point. Just like on Survivor - please put a swimsuit on under your clothes and learn to make a fire.
  12. Actually, yes horrible and would ruin my cruise.
  13. If I am ever asked to wear a mask again I will just dig in the bottom of my purse and dig out my thin, just for show mask. Haven't had to wear one for well over a year now but I just never remember to take it out. LOL
  14. I have. However, someone just posted that towards the end of their cruise masks were required due to high covid numbers. I do not want to be stuck on a cruise and have to wear a mask. Right now with land vacations if that happens I can leave and go someplace else.
  15. Haven't ever had to or wanted to take a test yet.
  16. If one enjoys casinos there is always Beau Rivage in Biloxi on the way to Louisiana.
  17. We have great neighbors also. In front of us are peanut and cotton fields. To the north and west is a 370 acre nursery tree farm. The neighbor to the south is about 3 acres away and I have spoken with them maybe 3 times in the 3 years we have been here. They have a lovely horse I watch in his pasture.
