Is everyone still bringing their vaccination cards?
Keksie replied to 8esther8's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I would find a different job! -
I think what you are planning is about right. I don't pack lightly and don't want to. I like choices. For a bathing suit coverup I bring one of the coverups from Landsend or a thin sundress from one of my trips. During the day I would bring a light sweater. For the ship (which I think is usually cool with the ac) I bring a variety of my knitted shawls. They are lacy but are silk and add a nice bit of warmth and bling. I don't have a glamour shot but this is my latest on the blocking mats.

Exactly! We haven't worn a mask anywhere in two years not even at my doctors office. Never asked for a vaccination card. Never taken a test. We have chosen our vacations to places that don't require any of that and will continue to do so. -
A friend of mine's twin sister just passed away. So far they are up to $17,000 found in books, jars etc. A few years before that they were helping her move, cleaned out the fridge and realized at some point that they had thrown out $1,000 hidden in a can. Roger's mother had hidden her jewelry beside the stove and when the kids moved her to assisted living it almost was left behind. One of her sons just happened to notice the envelope stuffed in the crack.

I has been a good 20 years since I was on the Big Island but you are correct. We couldn't take our rental car through the center of the island because the road wasn't paved. We did however drive to Kilauea and the Park. We stayed at the lodge on the edge of the crater. I am not sure but I think a subsequent eruption may have destroyed the lodge. I loved that part of the trip and seeing the park. From what I have read where the eruption is the lava will flow on the other side of the volcano away from Hilo. There is a bit of a flat plain that they hope will slow the lava.

The original shots were almost two years ago. I can't imagine anyone caring if someone got vaccinated back then when they say the shots lost their effectiveness after a few months. -
I have most of the work done. We are having my son, his GF, her son, and her mother and stepfather. I have not met the mom and stepfather yet so we will see. I just have to stuff the turkey in the morning and get it in the oven. The sides are made and just need to bake. I have 2 ovens which helps. They are bringing a side and a pie. I made a pumpkin cheesecake. So the menu for tomorrow is as follows: Turkey and stuffing Sweet potato casserole Potato dumplings Their side gravy rolls cranberry relish (homemade) olives Cheesecake pie For appetizers I will have a couple of cheese balls and spinach dip I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!

My heart goes out to you. There are not words to describe how sorry I am to hear this.

If you use any of the meds you bring you might want to pack the wrappers back in your luggage to dispose of at home.

Thank you @Jimbo @h20skibum and @Coralc for the advice on the tub. We have a large cement patio behind the house that is covered so that is where it would go. We would need to have an electrician run the wiring for it once we decide where we would put it. I love the idea of the salt generator. I always like saltwater pools.

At sea with Covid: a positive report about a positive test result
Keksie replied to bnickle's topic in Princess Cruises
Just didn't want you to think that a negative test would be sure way of not having it. We have traveled, gone out to restaurants and activities since May 2020 and never felt the need to test. -

You do realize that a person could still be contagious and not test positive yet. There is no way to be sure you are not endangering others.
