Carnival Glory Transatlantic April18-May 2
BlerkOne replied to BlerkOne's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Thank you and thanks to the others. It happens. We have a lot of animals (and land) from large to small. We know we will probably outlive all of the current menagerie, but it still hurts when you lose one. Life goes on. There will be more rescues. Meanwhile the two litters a feral cat decided to gift us with last year before we could catch her (now all are fixed), checking out a new cat tree. -
This is what we had on Glory last month, so I guess they haven't increased prices on all the ships, yet. QR-F555-WineList-0124 - Copy.pdf

Carnival Glory Transatlantic April18-May 2

I didn't notice any spice to the coating. The heat was in the sauce and I should have asked for more sauce. I thought the boneless chicken breast was crispy and tasty. I think it would work - just tell the kid it is a supersized nugget. -

Did they ever get ice buckets on Venezia? I have to think so. -
Carnival Your Time Dining vs. traditional Set Time Dining
BlerkOne replied to PirateAt45's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
It's for efficiency. The waitstaff serve multiple tables and it helps if they can bring the courses out in a timely fashion. Especially for early dining or those eating early on your time. A lot of people need to be fed and staff aren't dedicated to one table or one person. -
I can see why it might be needed with the tricks Royal plays. I can especially see why the law is needed with the tricks some hotels and airlines play. I don't really care one way or another about the law, but I don't understand why some don't think more regulation is going to cost the consumer more money.

Ask and you shall receive. Starlink is raising rates! https://www.tesla-mag.com/en/spacex-adjusts-starlink-pricing-implications-for-u-s-users-and-the-broadband-market/ but nobody is forced to buy. Entirely optional.

People have suggested that cruise lines estimate port taxes and fees on the high side to avoid having to charge cruisers more on the back end. This is exactly what cruise lines were sued for last century - overcharging for port taxes and fees. The cruise lines can't win and the consumer will pay more. No win-win there.
-
What Carnival advertises is the cabin price IS the cabin price. Carnival has no control over port taxes and fess and makes no money off of them. Carnival is completely transparent. The price the consumer pays won't change, the commission to travel agents won't change. The consumer will likely pay more to avoid a couple of keystrokes. Well done!

Venezia out of NYC - Empty Water Bottles

I use them (while they last) for Lido Arnold Palmers, etc. Much better looking than the dumpy standard plastic cups and hold a lot more. -

Looking through some of my Venezia pictures, we had glass on the Inaugural Transatlantic. Maybe they have been coming back for a while (May 23 at least) -
Our preferred cabin type on all the Carnival ships that have them, including Venezia.

Not on Glory a few weeks ago, but I guess they are coming back. Anyway, you can pick up fresh glasses (Plastics?) on Lido and have a constant supply in your cabin. -

That stopped around COVID, unless you have a suite. -
Guessing too high puts them at a competitive disadvantage compared with a cruise line that cuts it closer. Right now Carnival refunds port charges and fees for missed ports. Royal only does so if they collected too much to begin with and have a surplus. I can see Carnival moving to something similar and perhaps not refunding anything. At the end of the day, I see this costing the consumer more money.
