  1. I was not a fan of the fish and chips and that was disappointing. The fish itself was cooked and fine, but the coating was too thick and I though overcooked.
  2. I liked the Roasted Cauliflower app and it was available most days.
  3. I understand the lunch menus were new, starting on the cruise prior to this one. The embarkation lunch remains special, the others not so much. The sea days have most items in common, with just a few differences each day.
  4. Express walk off began at 7:30. I would have done that and skipped the lounge.
  5. If space is available you can book the day of the cruise, but have to call the cruise line. You can't just walk up to the ship and knock on the door
  6. On the Nov 5 Regal cruise, they were letting people with walkers etc. bypass the long lines to get through security, but some didn't realize it and waited forever. Check in time started at 11:30an, yet many people were lined up long before that. I didn't have any bogus charges on either of my cruises (I did a b2b). The Internet may not have been fast, but was never down in my experience. In any event, you don't need an Internet package to use the Princess app on the ship, and can check and question your account at any time. I did have an incorrect charge on Discovery Princess in October, which was easy for me to get removed I don't think I have ever seen more canes, walkers, or scooters on a cruise. It was not uncommon for someone with a scooter to drive it to their dining room table and for one of the staff to then valet park it. I absolutely would have Medallions delivered prior to the cruise and be green lane. There were just more lines for those who weren't
  7. Princess has to provide a manifest, but can sell cruises the day of. What you can't do is walk up to a ship and say let me on
  8. Lost me again. And 150% of statistics are made up. The dogs work as trained - they are not profiling you.
  9. CBD and Carnival use facial recognition in Galveston, AFAIK. Same terminal.
  10. Per the booking documents, there were two (2) formal nights on each cruise, even if the suggested dress for the second one was Dress to Impress. There were tuxes to be seen, as well as shorts, and everything in between. Princess just makes clothing suggestions... https://www.princess.com/en-us/faq/pre-cruise#clothing-recommendations
  11. For both cruises of my b2b, I purchased the Plus package first thing after boarding the ship. The price was $60/day = $420/week and no taxes were added to it. It was not valid at bars for alcohol, water, anything, until out of Texas waters. I was able to use it immediately at the International cafe for coffee. By the second leg, I had stashed enough water and alcohol in the cabin refrigerator to see me through to International waters on that leg. On the first leg, I purchased one drink at lunch in the MDR to see what happened, and was charged for the drink and taxes were added. I heard Princess would issue a $25 credit to offset the Texas inconveniance, but I didn't see a line item for that. I did a port tax refund approximating that, but only on the second cruise, so I don't think was related. By purchasing on the ship, it had no impact on the cost of Princess insurance.
  12. When I finally made it to an agent all she did was briefly look at my passport and say have a nice day. I don't know what the initial holdup was. But no declaration form, true. I would just put a reasonable number of them and lump everything together under "souvenirs".
  13. For whatever reason, face recognition wasn't being used at the last two Princess debarkations in Galveston. Everything was just like the good old days, except perhaps worse. 😞
  14. Branding is popular with successful businesses. So is cost management.
  15. The final night sunset had potential but was kind of a bust...
