  1. Did you try the web-based version? See instructions in post #803. I was able to order medallions that way. Unfortunately no luck with dining though. The dining options are grayed out so I can’t select anything. In my situation, it might be because the ship isn’t in service yet. I was reading through the “Dine My Way” thread.
  2. We are platinum and was able to make dining reservations (both MDR and Specialty) before final payment for an upcoming cruise (April 2024) but not for October 2025. Plus package; but not Premier for both cruises. I should add that the cruise in October 2025 is on the new Sun Princess.

  4. Thank you! Now I see where I can access the web version! Never knew I could access Ocean Ready that way. I logged in and got info entered for my DH so he has all green checks now. But dining options not yet available. I’ll check as we get closer. But it’s nice to know there is another way to enter the info outside of the app!
  5. It is a long ways away…but I decided to order our Medallions for home delivery for our October 2025 cruise…while I can still use the old app! In green lane…with no credit card info for Shoreside. Couldn’t make dining reservations though. Maybe too soon? Didn’t know there was a web version for the app???
  6. Agree! I don’t know why there are all these changes lately because of “port congestion”. In summer 2023, I booked Sept 2025 Sun Princess Barcelona to Rome. About a month ago, got notified of port congestion in Rome so they are changing our disembarkation port from Rome to Naples. No longer stopping in Rome. And because of the port change, we’ll have to miss one port (Genoa). Was pretty annoyed. You would think someone would have planned this all out before publishing the itineraries.
  7. Thank you so much for sharing your check-in experience. I’m curious, how long was the wait in the Blue Lane? Did picking up the medallion at port seem to cause a long wait/line? Also, that’s terrific to hear they didn’t ask for a credit card or authorization for shoreside. Enjoy your cruise!

  9. Yep, agree. I am just asking because Princess doesn’t allow someone to opt out on the app. And if you don’t complete it in the app, you’re only 6/7 complete. I completely agree with you. But sometimes what Princess does isn’t always logical. So was just wanting confirmation.
  10. When you checked in at the port, they didn’t ask you to authorize your credit card for shoreside? I was concerned that even if we didn’t include the credit card info for shoreside in the app, Princess might require us to authorize it at check in at the port…hence they put is in the blue lane.
  11. Agree! I’m keeping the old app installed and not downloading the new app. Hoping they won’t do away with the old app before our 4/3 cruise!
  12. Thanks for your reply! I’ll be sure to check my folio onboard early on. Our next sailing is on 4/3 and will report back on if the linking can be confirmed at port check in.
  13. Great tips to share! Thank you! If we’re checking in via the blue lane, could we ask to confirm then if our onboard accounts are linked? If we aren’t able to see each other’s folios, then does that mean, the accounts aren’t linked? In the past, we’ve used my credit card for onboard purchases and I could see both mine and my DH account but for some reason he could only see his charges and couldn’t see mine. So maybe I’ll check the folio to make sure I can at least see his account.
  14. Good question! I hope that we’ll hear reports from cruisers who didn’t enter credit card info for Shoreside. It would be good to know if they will require us to authorize our credit card for shoreside at check in.

  18. Thank you @euro cruiser! The info you provided is so helpful! It makes me feel a lot better about keeping this sailing. That is awesome that when all is said and done it won’t be any harder to get from Naples to Rome as it would be from Civitavecchia to Rome. I appreciate the tips you gave me about taking the fixed rate taxi from the cruise terminal to train station. I’ll remember that phrase: la tariffa predeterminata.
  19. We had booked a cruise (Barcelona to Rome) for September 2025. Just received notice yesterday that the cruise line has change the disembarkation port from Rome to Naples. One of the main reasons we booked this cruise was because it was ending in Rome and I was planning on spending a few days there. I’m considering on keeping the cruise (if I can’t find another line that has the same sailing around the same time) and taking the train from Naples to Rome. It sounds like it will take a little over an hour on the high-speed train. Can anyone share any information with me on taking the train from Naples to Rome? For instance, what is the best way to get from the cruise ship terminal to the train station. Is there a safe place to store luggage on the train (Trenitalia or Italo)? Thank you!
  20. As a test, I tried to make dining reservations for our cruise on the Sun sailing September 2025 and I received the same message you did. I’m guessing it’s too early.

  23. Thanks for your reply! Logic would have it that if you paid $60, you should get all the perks that come with it. I heard about the travel summary updates lagging. I’m leaning toward leaving it as is and hope Princess does the right thing. When the newest perks came out for the 2 casual dining, OceanNow delivery and room service, it seemed like they called it an “Enhanced Sailing” or something along those lines. My ship/sail date was not included originally. I had called Princess at the time and the agent told me that it was too soon to tell if my sailing would be an enhanced sailing. But now those new perks are listed under this sailing.
  24. Hello fellow CC members! Wanted to share my situation and see if anyone experienced the same. Here’s my situation with Princess Plus60 and a 2025 cruise: In June 2023, I booked a cruise departing on 9/20/2025 with Princess Plus paying $60 a day per person. At the time, Princess Plus included: WiFi, crew appreciation, plus beverage package, premium desserts, 2 fitness classes and free medallion shipping. I refared in September 2023 with the Labor Day sale. There were no changes to the Princess Plus perks as when booked in June. Currently with the Black Friday sale, fare has dropped a small amount and Princess Plus perks now includes 3 new perks: 2 casual dining, OceanNow delivery and Room service delivery. My TA has tried to get those 3 new perks added to my booking but has not been able to. She has even tried to cancel and rebook me and still can’t get those new perks added. She has spoken to 3 people at Princess and has had it elevated to a special department. With the holidays, we may not hear back for at least a week. Has anyone encountered this with the Princess Plus new perks and a late 2025 cruise where the new perks were not originally listed when booked but now are and still can’t get the perks with a new booking? I’m debating about rebooking with standard fare while the Black Friday sale is still on (fare is a little lower) and then just buying the Princess Plus package once onboard. Hoping they will still allow that in 2025. Purchasing Princess Plus early doesn’t seem to give me any benefit like locking in at a lower price since recently, increased pricing includes additional perks which earlier lower pricing excludes. So my questions are: Has anyone encountered not being able to get the full advertised Princess Pkus 60 perks? If so, how did you resolve it? Any downfall to booking standard fare and just purchasing Princess Plus onboard? Thanks!
  25. Thanks for this useful information on annexes! When booking a hotel, is it usually evident if you’re booking an annex room or does one need to ask?
