  1. Agree about the production shows. I was wondering if they scaled back because of the risk of having to cancel if a performer caught COVID. For the type of shows they had…mainly singing performances, it’d be easier to sub someone else in. Sorry to hear about your son but glad to hear that Princess handled it well and looked after your son’s medical needs.
  2. Hi, we did laundry on the Discovery last week Thursday and there was no charge for the self service laundry and even for the laundry detergent and dryer sheets. The Medallion app had an option to have laundry detergent delivered so we placed an order for it. But our steward, must have seen our request and knocked on our door to tell us the detergent was in the laundry room. The app said there was a fee for dryer sheets but those were also available in the laundry room for no charge. There were no token slots on the machines.
  3. Yikes 7 out of 16 days! Very true about not replacing the frustration.
  4. I submitted a comment card through guest services to complain around Day 2 or 3. I didn’t ask for a refund but I did tell say that connectivity was so poor, that they shouldn’t be charging passengers for it. I’m on Princess Plus so I wasn’t sure how to put a value to how much they should give me. Maybe what I would’ve had to pay after factoring the Platinum discount?
  5. Hi Chubbypiggy, yes, they have the small glass bottles of Perrier onboard at any of the bars, dining room or via the app. I would have it at meal time with lime. No problem getting it. They also have San Pelligrino.
  6. We are also on the Discovery and agree with your comments…the pros and cons. The internet connectivity is extremely poor. Can’t believe they charge for this. everything else has been wonderful.
  7. Thank you for your reply! I hear you about the line at the Future Cruise desk. I’m happy to hear what your CVP said.
  8. Just curious if you were able to ask the future cruise consultant about the Shorex OBC. I’m on the Discovery and booked a cruise for April 2024. The consultant told me it included $100 OBC per person but when I received the email confirmation, I noticed it said Shorex OBC and not OBC as the consultant said. I was first in line this person (waited before they opened at 9am). The line is usually long!
  9. Thank you for this info! Glad to know I can do this before my test results come in.
  10. Thank you so much! This is helpful!
  11. Hi, getting ready to leave for Alaska cruise RT Seattle with stop in Victoria. I’m wondering the same…do we need to upload our COVID-19 test to ArriveCan and if so can we enter most of the info within the 72 hour window and upload the test results later? Anticipate results 24 hours prior to boarding. Were you able to find answers to your questions?
  12. Sailing to Alaska RT from Seattle with stop in Victoria. I know we have to enter info into ArriveCan within 72 hours of embarkation. Do we have to upload our COVID-19 test results into ArriveCan? If so, is it possible to set up the account to enter most of the info within 72 hours and then upload the COVID test results when we get them?
  13. Wow! That is steep! Glad you can submit for reimbursement through your health insurance. In your other posts you mentioned passenger services no longer answering your calls. I think you should be posting your experiences to Princess Facebook page and Twitter. How they are treating their quarantined passengers is horrible.
  14. Sorry to hear you caught COVID on the ship. Did you eat in the buffet? My doctor says that is a high risk area. How much did the Paxlovid cost? Princess needs to show more teeth. If they say masks are required and if guests scream and shout, Princess should remove them from the ship at the next port. There will be less screaming and shouting from that person and would set a good example for others to stop screaming about the requirement.
  15. Princess…consistently inconsistent. Complete opposite of the Princess chat I had. But looks like they posted an update that is more clear now.
  16. So….I checked with Princess using Live Chat today about 7 day Alaska cruise departing 9/11 round trip out of Seattle that visit a Canadian port. Princess rep said pre-embarkation COVID-19 test is not needed. We do still need to do ArriveCan. But no test.
  17. I’m so confused. For an Alaska cruise, round trip out of Seattle, do I need a pre cruise COVID-19 test if one of the stops is Victoria?
  18. Nice to hear Princess is being flexible with the FCC when you canceled under their Book with Confidence!
  19. This is encouraging. Could you clarify…do you mean that you canceled a cruise because you or a traveling partner caught COVID? And did you have to have another cruise booked in order to get the FCC extension to sail by 9/30/2023?
  20. Thank you! This is indeed helpful! I noticed the Patter for Day 6 says it’s “Dress to Impress”. Was the attire different than formal night? Thank you!
  21. Oh no...sorry to hear that your partner had to go to the hospital. Hope she will make a quick recovery. I'm glad that you were able to make it home.
  22. Thank you! I’m glad to see they have it as an option if needed.
  23. I hope you feel better soon. And I do wish Princess had more COVID-19 prevention protocols. But they are driven by $$$$. Thank you for asking if there is a Paxlovid onboard. I understand you’re supposed to take it within 5 days of symptoms. I read on another thread they offered it to a passenger on the Ruby. Take care! Please keep us posted on how you’re doing. Hope Princess takes care of you!
