Are all cruise lines’ promotions this confusing? Is ANYTHING straightforward on other lines? We‘ve been on 3 cruises, 3 different lines so no “loyalty” benefits, and I feel like I have to learn everything new every time!

A friend on an O trip in February (to the Western Caribbean) said there was a short Shabbat service on Friday evening. Is this a common practice on all itineraries? Is there a way to find out if it’ll be offered on ours?

My ship arrives in Copenhagen at 7 am and departs 2 pm. Is there ANYTHING open at 8 am on a Friday? We have so little time I’m quite disappointed by the short timeframe.

I feel you! I’ve got Copenhagen from 7 am until 2 pm…is anything open at 7 am? I think not.

My bad, if we change to Ultimate from our existing res, it’s $150 more than what we’ve paid. Since we already had $300pp OBC, the 3 excursions are really what we are benefitting from. I can’t really drink and my husband usually declines (in solidarity) but if he even has a glass of wine or a beer, I think we still come out ahead. I just hate how convoluted all this stuff is!

Sorry to be a pain, I’m so grateful for your guidance! I’m looking at the Bahn site. It will show me times from Kiel to Lubeck, but I cannot select one, nor can I get the return Lubeck to Kiel to show up. Any suggestions for navigating this? $80 rt for 2 is a bargain compared to the $300 to take the bus from the ship.

Here’s a new option, curious what y’all think. We can use one of our “free” (really just included) excursions to take the bus to a Lubeck from Kiel and then sign up for our tour there once we arrive. But if it’s really that easy to take the train from Kiel, the costs saving might make it worthwhile to try it. Then use our “free” excursion later in the trip. The timing of the trains may actually be more favorable and give us more time in Lubeck, but I’m always so nervous about complications and missing the ship departure. Advice?

Sorry for late reply, is this for me? We are on Oceania and we’re looking at a Get Your Guide tour so Jewish Lubeck. They’re unable to provide transport so we’d have to take the train without a guide, not sure I want to try that in a language I don’t speak!

None. That’s why I asked after reading the report by artlee. And apparently people now bring their pets and call them service animals.

Maybe another silly question but you all will know the answer: when I read the Shore excursion options on the O website, SOME have a little icon of a coach bus. Those are clearly coach trips (brilliant deduction, I know). OTHER options address driving through places but have neither the bus icon nor does the description say “coach” anywhere. (1) Do they use coach buses on these trips that don't’ show the icon? (2) What do they use to transport if not a coach? School bus? Van? (3) Is there a way to discern number of people who’ll be on a given trip? Considering adding the “ultimate” package which would give us 3 excursions…the additional cost covers the excursions so it’s probably financially worth it for that, and occasional beer or glass of wine will just be gravy. So, my question above refers to the “free” included/low end excursions. Thank you again!

We have 10days on Marina in June, but with allergies I’m concerned about possibly having a cabin that had a dog or cat prior to our arrival. Or during the sailing though the room issue is bigger. I saw someone referenced a guest feeding their dog onboard and got me wondering. Thanks.
