Anyone willing to describe the T pool? Is that only on the spa deck? Does it cost extra? Very confusing.

Is any of the entertainment worth returning to the ship for on late nights in port? I think we have a couple ports where we are docked until 10 pm. Unless there’s some amazing restaurant on shore (which seems unlikely with our itinerary) I’d not want to miss a dinner onboard. On those late nights does anyone return to shore after dinner for awhile? Again, I do t think our itinerary makes it likely, just curious mainly.

We typically like to have dinner later, definitely not before 7 pm. Can someone talk about the entertainment on Oceania, what sort of evening shows they offer and timing? When do you get a sense of the schedule, so making reservations in the specialty restaurants doesn’t conflict with something good? Too optimistic? Appreciate hearing your thoughts. Thanks.

I am medically mandated to anvoid caffeine, can I hope all these great Baristas drinks are available in decaf?

You’ve been very kind and I’ve come to realize we will be staying near Oslo and that’ll be great. I was able to buy the concert tickets from a friend of a friend, so I’m excited about that (not excited that it’s all standing😳🤬) but will be very happy to be there. im looking forward to reviewing all this again to refresh my memory in early June! I don’t think we will have time for the nutshell tour, our ship disembarks on 1 July 8 am but I have only found early morning Nutshell option, would want to commit to that then miss it by a few minutes. And we have the concert 2 July and leave Oslo 4 July, so we’d have to get on the 3 July nutshell trip and then catch early flight from Bergen to oslo for flight to London…can’t miss that flight so I don’t think we can swing it. I have looked at the links for visitoslo, only shows oslofjord 2 hour trips. If you are aware of any speedy ships that might get us up to western fjords and back we’d be interested in trying that. Our ship will not go through those fjords….I really messed up with this itinerary.😢

Had no idea there was a Birk dress shoe😳. His feet are awful (shh but it’s true) so I may just have him bring his dress shoes and deal with it. If he doesn’t need a jacket we will be golden!

Sadly won’t be able to do the Nutshell trip to Bergen when we disembark in Oslo. Just not enough time. Are you aware of any “day” type cruise of the fjords starting in Oslo? We could see the Oslofjord but I’m wondering if there’s a secret opportunity to see a bit more in a single day. Thanks,

“Expensive” for me, they’re over $100 and don’t look like shower shoes from the dorms lol, have an orthotic type platform and are embellished so they look nice. I can’t really do heels.

My guy’s are regular white new balance! He lives in them (should’ve bought their stock decades ago)lol.

Hi there. We are booked into 11023 on Marina, which I thought was underneath the 12th deck Art Loft and would be mostly quiet in the early mornings/late nights. As I look now, it seams we may actually be under the 12th deck restrooms, not the Art Loft. Will these be used frequently and be noisy (running water from flushing for example) in early morning/late nights? Another available room on 11 is 14 or 15…they’re a bit forward but have suites above them instead of public spaces. Should we reconsider our room to take this into account? We’ve not done many cruises and I don’t really know how to judge being forward or aft, just don’t want to be disturbed by noise if we can avoid it. I truly appreciate your insights. New to O and so far folks have been very friendly and helpful! Thanks for that.

Yikes! I wear very expensive “flip flop” type sandals with orthotics everywhere. Am I going to offend someone by wearing them with a dress? My husband hates wearing a jacket and basically lives in jeans and sneakers, he’s going to be annoyed at having to (a) bring a sport coat and (b) people judging him for wearing the same pair of khaki pants every night. Wondering if we’ve made a mistake with O.

Thank you, we are leaning towards Lubeck also. I admit the trains make me a little nervous. But my husband doesn’t like museums and there’s a Jewish component in Lubeck we are interested in. I appreciate your reply.

New to O too, have enjoyed my reading on this site. Been hearing the O ships average age is 80s, hoping ours might skew a little younger in June. Is that mean? Not my intention, just don’t have grandkids to talk about yet!

We are on Marina from Southampton-Oslo on June 21-July 1 and wondering when we can start making serious plans. Restaurant reservations for one! Has anyone been to these seemingly obscure ports (Bornholm, Visby, Kiel, Skagen)? I’m interested in shipbuilding history to a point but maybe not more than once on a given cruise. Any recommendations for good excursion options on these places (O-sponsored or other)? Also interested in what a day in port looks like if you choose to stay on the ship….do they discount spa treatments and shopping like others we’ve been on? Appreciate any guidance, our first time on O and only our 3rd cruise. Thanks.

Hiya Norway Lady, how nice of you to be so helpful! We arrive in Oslo on July 1 2023 and are staying a few days before heading back to Uas. We want to do at least a day trip to some fjords, can you suggest don’t-miss options? We are also hoping to find some tickets to the Springsteen concert on July 2. I understand reselling for profit is illegal in Norway, but if you know of a legal source for tix I’d be extremely grateful and try to do something nice for you in return! We just don’t want to spend all day in lines out at the stadium. I appreciate whatever guidance you send my way, thanks!

We are staying with friends in London June 23. We are willing to pay the cost of the transfer from the O-selected hotel (Bailey’s Millenium I believe) to the port in Southampton. I was told we could not add that and can only purchase the transfer if we STAY at the Bailey hotel. This just seems really weird to me. I could stay at the Bailey for less than the O price and use the service, but can’t walk across the street from another location for that same service? Anyone have experience with this? Seems ridiculous to me. Thanks.
