  1. Amber Cove is a private area owned by a cruise line. Grand Turk isn't but there is a private area adjacent the cruise docks so it's basically like a private destination. Ocho Rios, Cozumel and Grand Cayman are none of those things. But typical excursions available at each include beaches and private beaches so that quiet experience CAN be had if that's what you're seeking.
  2. Correct. JetBlue is the only domestic carrier at this time using Terminal C where the Brightline station is located. It is well-marked on the airport roadway network. Mostly international carriers are using Terminal C such as Emirates, Norse Atlantic, Aer Lingus, British Airways and many more.
  3. I've attended the White Party on both recent 3-nt and 7-nt cruises. They also had the Sunshine Party (mostly 70's Disco) on both 3-nt & 7-nt cruises. If the ship overnights at Ocean Cay, there's a beach party near the Lighthouse.
  4. I recommend a taxi because they will be lined-up waiting when you get off the ship; rideshares have to be assigned to a driver and won't just be there waiting. There should be a "starter" there who can call up a van for you if none are already there in the queue. If you plan to pay with a credit/debit card, verify with the taxi driver that his machine is working before you get in. Some drivers like to play games that their machine is not working, hoping you'll then pay cash. 11:45am is plenty late enough for you to make it to the airport and gate on time. The security line that goes to the AA gates will be long if that's your airline. Try to check-in for your flight while on the ship at T-24, even if you can't print your boarding passes.
  5. Any walk over that bridge to the cruise port IS a long walk!
  6. You should probably plan on two Uber/Lyft/Taxis and divide your 4 kids among the 4 adults.
  7. Was on a European cruise earlier this month and the Disembarkation Info paperwork distributed the night prior says "Please vacate you cabin by 08:00 tomorrow morning." So regardless of whether you intend to hang-around, you do need to be out of your cabin by 8am. And since every disembarkation port is also an embarkation port, I don't doubt you can get off until later. But what about your luggage? If you're taking it off yourself, you then have to keep it with you everywhere you go. If you put your luggage in the hallway intending to pick it up in the terminal, I wouldn't trust it to still be there when you finally decide to leave.
  8. Yes. If you can handle your own luggage, it's the way to go. You're off quickly; no waiting around in a lounge somewhere waiting for your turn.
  9. Sorry to hear of your problem. If you can't find a phone number for MSC there in Dubai, you could try calling MSC in the United States during U.S. daytime hours at (1) 833-506-6059 or (1) (954) 772-6262. I don't know if they will allow you to switch dates.
  10. Except for Yacht Club getting priority, tender numbers are assigned in the order you go to pickup your tender ticket. From my last visit, this was in the Daily Program: "Disembarkation will be via continuous tender service from ship to shore and vice versa. To use this complimentary service, pick up your tender ticket in the Casino Bar, deck 7, from 6:45am." It's really not that big of a deal. If you want to get off the ship early, pickup your tender tickets early. If you want to get off late morning or early afternoon, get your tender tickets later.
  11. When I last used T10 in September for a MSC cruise, payment was made before entering the garage. Made it much easier at departure time; no queues.
  12. Port of Palm Beach is closed today and the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise sailing for this afternoon is cancelled. I would be most concerned with port closures tomorrow (Saturday) than localized flooding. Weather should clear-out by Sunday. You should stay in close touch with your cruise line if you're sailing on Saturday.
  13. Download the free Mobil Passport App (CBP MPC) and then "send" all your information to Immigration prior to getting off the ship. It's valid at Port Miami.
  14. Can you call EasyJet and see if they'll provide you the record locator?
  15. Not to worry about the document you signed. My wife and I voluntarily left a MSC cruise early a few years ago. The form just says you're leaving the cruise early of your own volition and the cruise line is not responsible for any refund or damages of the unused portion of the cruise.
  16. The port schedule also lists terminal assignments. But you can't go wrong; the terminals are side-by-side next to each other. Just look for your ship when you arrive in the port area. https://www.porttb.com/cruise-schedules
  17. I haven't seen any port times anywhere for their new ship. Key West is likely an early arrival and early departure.
  18. Just off Euribia in Europe and received a copy in my stateroom on the final night. On Seaside in September out of Florida, no copy delivered. Please be aware that those same kiosks used to register your credit card to your account at the beginning of the cruise can be used to get a printout of your account at any point during the cruise.
  19. You will have no problem getting a taxi or rideshare at Port Miami. With a rideshare you might have to wait a bit for your ride to get assigned and to drive to you. If you're in a hurry, just take a regular taxi which are already lined-up outside each terminal.
  20. Tri-Rail is the best, most cost-effective option to get from PEV to MIA. Sundays have fewer trains than during the week.
  21. Every garage I've ever parked in at Port Miami has payment upon leaving. I see in the link posted above that Garage J has prepaid parking but that's an exception.
  22. I was on Euribia for a week beginning December 1st and I don't know what system they had operating, but it was VERY fast. I had to upload pics for a Blog that I write and there were no delays in getting photos uploaded. I did have the upgraded Browse & Stream package.
  23. As a general rule, never select a cabin with any public areas above or below it. For myself at least, there has to be cabins above and below me.
  24. Thanks. Probably passed by you at some point, lol. Yes, if I see you, will definitely say hi.
  25. Interesting reading your viewpoints since I'm onboard too. Our cabin is midship so really have not noticed any movement of the ship whatsoever. Since I run a nightclub based website back in Orlando, my perspective on cruises is always based on the ship's nightlife entertainment more than the food or shows. Thus, for anyone interested, here are links to the first two nights on board. Night 1 including the White Party: https://www.orlandoentertainmentnews.com/?p=25466 Night 2: https://www.orlandoentertainmentnews.com/?p=25502 As one might expect this time of the year, a mostly-older crowd on board but a surprising number of infants/young children too.
